- Thank you with all my heart, to everyone at Doglost who helped Billie find his way back to us. Especially Lilybear, without all your advice we may never have coaxed him back. A big thank you to Mandy and Jo too, for setting up the trap in appalling weather conditions, and returning at gone midnight to release him safely. Unsung heroes every one of you. <3Last edited: 2014-02-15 13:47:04 by Vonnie

- I have had a call from council they have had a report from a man who was trying to catch him that he is hiding under a car on London Road now. I have asked the council to tell people not to make any further attempts to catch him. He really is terrified! I am hoping we may be to use a trap to catch him very soon.

- Yes. Billie has been travelling around in the area all morning, and have eaten from his crate he came back again, and I was able to entice him as far as my kitchen with titbits of chicken. I couldn't warn anyone he was here without calling upstairs, and having got him right inside, (He even snatched a titbit from my hand.)Someone ran downstairs and he bolted again. It is as if he wants to come home but is too frightened. The lady on Long Close, who offered to help has been leaving out biscuit for him on her doorstep, and has also asked about a trap there,. My only concern now is he has a very full tummy. He was thoroughly soaked too.

- Vonnie, did Billy eat from his feed station just within his crate?
- 2014-02-14 11:33 Lilybear
- Billy has just been home & has eaten a little at front door step, left towards London Road. Lots of sightings of Billy each day. Vonnie will update this afternoon. I saw Billy yesterday at 1.30pm he came from the post box on Harden Mead, ran like the clappers across London Road into Harden Close, then back out again along London Road back towards Blackcross.

- Thank you everyone for your calls, posts, help and support. Last sighting this evening was 19.45 near the playground. We lit a barbie and stayed until 22.30 poured hoover fluid all the way up Blackcross, and have barbie in front garden. Hoping he comes home for breakfast.

- Billy was sighted at 20 Long Close approximately 18:15
Only Woman should approach as scared of men do not have eye contact and speak softly he seems to be running scared so needs to be caught for his own safety but runs from people when aproached :(

- Billie has been sighted this afternoon in a garden on the far side of London Road, however he has just been seen at 18.00 back near the Sea cadets hut. We now have food in a covered crate by the front door, but he hasn't returned here yet.

- Bumped due to sighting.

- Billie came and ate in the front garden this morning. He ran off along Habrel Close as soon as he saw me.

- Spent time this evening at Long Close, at wooded track down to the sea scouts/sailing club, near to play park. This is where Billy has shown himself at various times during day. Cooked up some delicious smelly food, no sign of Billy. Sadly am back to work tomorrow. Should anyone be in the area and able to spare just a little time to help Vonnie, it would be so appreciated. Thank you.

- Good luck in getting Billy back to safety. Keeping everything crossed.

- Chicken is defrosting in microwave as I am typing. I have advised people who reported the latest sighting that he is mega nervous, does not welcome eye contact, and we have laid a blanket I used last night placed by their door.
- 2014-02-12 17:23 Lilybear
- Vonnie, we need to keep Billy in that area. Please share the good advice you have read... not to shout at Billy, attempt to chase or capture him. Get cooking some tasty chicken.

- Have just had sighting he is field by playground in Long Close a friend has gone to the field with tin of sardines to try and encourage him to come to her. He is very wet and muddy, and has been running up and down in the area for a while.

- Further sighting of Billy * yesterday, Tuesday * soon after he went missing on London Road junct with Larkham Rise. Vonnie has spoken with a local company who are fitting insulation in area, they will help with posters in their vans, is also contacting locals schools & farms.
- 2014-02-12 14:28 Vonnie
- There has been no news today as yet. :( If anyone lives locally to me, and would be willing to put up more posters it may help to bring him home. More posters will be ready for collection later today.
- 2014-02-12 00:02 Lilybear
- There were also sightings during day of Billy in Blackcross & Long Close by locals & the workmen to the far left on the green. At one point Billy was seen back at his home doorstep but soon vanished again. He is not familiar with area. Has been too nervous to take walks. I’ve postered the immediate area of Blackcross, local shop, clubs & pubs, also along by Abbeyfield School, Stanley Lane. Food & bedding left at doorstep, garden open. Hoping foster carer can get more posters up as there is quite a void. So at the moment the search area appears to be Blackcross, Long Close through to Stanley Lane. Stay safe Billy.

- Msg from friend earlier this evening: I have just spoken to a lady about this dog - she and her husband saw it running in the road near abbeyfields school today at 1345hrs - they tried to catch him but with no joy - they say that the dog was uninjured but terrified. It ran off towards Abbeyfields School....

- Billy has been in his home since Sunday 08/02. He has not had the best start in life, is a very frightened, gentle little dog. The foster carer has informed the microchip co that Billy missing. The previous address has not been disclosed to the foster carer but in the SN15 area.. He has the promise of a bright, safe and happy future with his new adoptive owner out of County – who sadly is trapped by the floods. I am meeting with foster carer this evening. DW, Police informed.
