Maria is being interviewed live today by Radio Lancashire at 5.50pm, hope it brings some good news.

Bumped due to interview x
Valerie and Ian
Please check with Leigh Cats & Dogs Home as most strays end up there.

Because Freckleton & Warton are PR4 postal addresses have you considered contracting the RSPCS @ Preston to see if they have any news of him.
Microchipyourdogs
You need to get in touch with the freckleton dog whisper, what Alan doesn't know about dogs isn't worth knowing, he runs pickforal kennels freckleton, sure he will have some sound advice, he trains gun dogs and has done for years, nice fella, has a amazing connection with dogs.
Microchipyourdogs
Please take a look @animal search, may well be worth contacting.
maria
Thank you Valerie and Ian, good idea about the pets at home shop, will get some posters put up in there and yes we are going to be postering a bit further afield now as there has been a few sightings in Freckleton. Thanks again, maria
Valerie and Ian
Have contacted Lancaster Animal Centre with a copy of Chester poster so they know to look out for him.
We have had a thought and would if you speak to " Pets At Home" shops both in Preston & Blackpool to see if they would take a poster. We know there is a advertising board in the one in Blackpool.
Best regards
Valerie & Ian

Knowing that your other dog was found on Wildings Lane have you checked out that area as we see on an A to Z Street Atlas of Lancashire (Geographers') that there are dog kennels and Longview Animal Home marked in the area.
As regards posters which we have seen in Freckleton has anyone thought of going a little further and target Kirkham, Wesham, Newton with Scales, Clifton, Wrea Green, High Ballam & Peel Hill with a couple of posters in each place?
We live in Preesall near Knott End on Sea but travelled to Freckleton to see if we could help to find him.
We checked Lower Lane Kirkham to Freckleton and used the back roads from Freckleton to Warton to Big "M" at Lytham then the back roads via South Park, Lytham Hall Park & West Park through to Mayfield School. Then from the school we tried to follow the railway were possible returning to Freckleton. We saw a few dogs but nothing resembling Chester.
We saw a car being driven in Freckleton with a poster in the back window saying "Dog Lost" / Missing. Has anyone asked BAe System if they have seen a lost dog or put a poster up for you?
We will keep our "ears to the ground" and hopefully Chester will be found.
All the best. Valerie & Ian.Last edited: 2014-02-23 00:01:21 by Valerie and Ian

Just seen the beagle walk.Brilliant idea x
Microchipyourdogs
Checked out Saint Cuthberts graveyard yesterday and witch wood, no sightings, this little fella needs a trail to pick up on and follow, a trick used on cats is to empty your Hoover contents outside for them to pick up on the scent , Chester needs a trail to follow to take him homewards, dogs sense of smell is second to none and we need to work with his strengths. Tracker Beagle sounds a good idea, you guys must be shattered, but please keep positive.

Hi, we are having a NW Beagles walk at Lytham on Sunday. Some of us would like to help search for Chester. We may have a tracker beagle with us too. I hope Chester is home before Sunday but if not, please could we have a starting point to search for him? Thanks Last edited: 2014-02-22 00:52:44 by PigPog

Where was he last seen? I will keep an eye out for him whilst walking my dogs across the fields in Freckleton. Will he come over to other dogs?
Valerie and Ian
Would lovely to be able to help but did not go onto Dog Lost until much later. So missed the chance to come and help.
One tip if you see him ... call him then if he see you get very close to the ground or even lie down as he will think you are in pain and come to your aid, hopefully. Have a very flat lead hidden do not jump up to him allow him to lick you, slowly make a fuss over him and whilst you do that place the lead over him or get him to play with it. You can usually then get the dog. We have used this trick to get our own dog to come back to us when she was spooked but it was Ian who went on the floor.
mrs doyle
Good luck everyone,so hope you find him, fingers and paws crossed for you xxx

There is a search party tonight, meeting at 6.30 at the Blossoms Pub in Ansdell. If anyone is willing to help, please take any lamps, torches, slip leads and lots of smelly food :)

Looking forward to some good news on this little fella xx

Maybe if you have Dexter with you and get him barking on your searches that will bring Chester out of hiding.

Is there no news on Chester today, any sightings, and if so which area.
DogLostClaire Gresty - Area Co-ordinator & Police Liaison - North West
So close to Chester being caught today, his owners are doing a brilliant job, along with the help of their friends and helpers - well done everyone. I'm sure this lovely little boy will soon be home x

Copied from FB:
We came very close to him but he was so scared he just keeps running, he will not approach anyone, we basically followed sightings of Chester from green drive golf club, through fields over the other side of ballad road onto fair haven golf club then he was spotted in ansdell going onto royal Lytham golf course, this was the last time we saw him. A massive thank you to all the kind people that have been out helping us friends and complete strangers, we will be going out again at first light and heading for the golf clubs, hopefully we will spot him again tomorrow x

Chester has just been spotted at Lytham Crem, he's very very scared and running away. If seen, please do not chase him. Owner is out now, all crossed he is safely home very soon x
