There's a travellers site just on the A361 Semington, just by the crematorium, I wonder if it's from there?
Lilybear
I've emailed The Lamb on The Strand the doglost links to enquire if they've had any sightings.
Lilybear
Further sighting of stray dog reported to local police at 2145 – 24/02. (Log 330) ‘Collie dog dark colour with white bits seen running around by the main road, A361, Semington, last seen near to the Lamb on the Strand pub’.

Last seen 2 days ago. I am patrolling twice a day with a pocket full of smelly food and will continue to try to find / catch / photograph the dog.

Hi seendhead, If it was to be flint he would be really quite shy and nervous of strangers I think the only thing to try would be food. When was this dog last seen? many thanks.
Lilybear
A nearby landmark to area would be the pub: The Lamb on the Strand,BA14 6LL, the sighting north of the A361 (Trowbridge Road).

Hi seendhead thanks for getting in contact where abouts are you based? If you can get some decent pictures of the dog then that would be great. I'm not sure what flint would be like now he was a bit shy with strangers. many thanks

MillieVW, thanks, Wiltshire way bit too far away from me to offer any physical help. Will wait for a SW Coord through my alert to pick up on this one as she/they may be more local to area.Last edited: 2014-02-15 11:07:45 by ClaireC

Thanks Lilybear and the lady who has very kindly offered to set up a feeding station. This will enable the dog to know that there is food in one particular place and will keep going back at set times, morning and evening are good. The dog will become more confident and it is at this stage that possibly a trap can be brought in. Which area is Seend Head in as I am not familiar with the name? I will alert a Coordinator local to this area to see if they are able to offer any more advice or assistance. Last edited: 2014-02-15 10:33:02 by ClaireC

I live in Bowerhill. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help. 07867 475369 Good luck
Lilybear
I spoke to the kind lady yesterday who reported the sighting, so glad logged on Doglost. The lady very caring, looking to set one feed station with shelter in safe place to keep away from busy A361, is very concerned for dog, believed male, very skinny, wanting to bring to safety. The neighbours aware. Lady will look to capture a photograph of dog and upload. I’ll keep in touch and pop along for a visit if helpful.

could someone look at Pippy id no 63990 on dogs lost - a long shot but you never know. Thank you
ClaireC
Can somebody set up a regular feeding station with a view to it being caught when it has gained a bit more confidence? A good place would be within somebody's front garden as a further thought so that it becomes a bit more enclosed with perhaps a bit of shelter as this would make it a bit easier if a trap is introduced.

Could you look at missing Flint 63793
