- Hi, not sure if there is still a problem with you getting through to my phone? Number is now correct, I typed a couple of numbers in the wrong way round!! I have set up a donate page to try and get some help with his vets bills, unfortunately as he needed the vet immediately and was found at the weekend they would have stayed with me even if he hadnt!! I'm happy to build him a trust fund to pay for heart medication as and when he needs it, and it sounds like I might be able to get rescue rates for castration and all the other bits to make him into a proper pet dog (he is already the proud owner of a posh collar and coat!) but if anybody would be kind enough to help out with the initial fixing bills (breathing problems, antibiotics, painkillers, anti-inflammatory stuff etc..) the link to the page is http://www.gofundme.com/7a5zfg I'll pop some progress pictures up too, he's getting proper handsome!!

- Hiya, Im the fenland dog warden, and also do all the rehoming of any dogs that don't go home, Tried to call you to have a chat about helping with castrate etc , but the number listed above says not recognized ?
The council would have paid his bills re his injury ETC if he had been handed in as a stray but wont now, but I can certainly help with reduced rates re his castrate, chip and Vacs, Just need to speak to you :) - 2014-02-15 19:59 fionap58
- Did you know you have to report a found dog to the dog warden? If you want to keep it you can either let it go to rescue for the 7 days then rehome it or you can keep him at home, sign paperwork agreeing to hand the dog over if an owner comes forward within 28 days but after 28 days it's officially yours. Just would hate for you to spend all that money and get attached then have to hand him over when it's all fixed because the owner comes forward. I would be happy to donate to the vets bills if we have a number or is there a donate page as this happens a lot. Good luck !Last edited: 2014-02-15 20:00:22 by fionap58

- He'll stay with us if a responsible owner doesn't come forward. Out of curiosity is there any where that would help with vets bills, I reckon by the time we've finished fixing him and castrated/chipped etc.. We will have easily hit £500 and that's before we think about medication which I suspect will be required for his heart condition in a few years time..

- Now added, albeit sideways! Hopefully this shy boy has a nice owner out there somewhere. Unfortunately he has also run up a lovely big vets bill as was in a pretty poor state and incredibly thin when picked up. Poor chap had a nasty infected hole all the way through his cheek, a nasty cut on his back, a revolting infected ear and fluid on his lungs that made his breathing like nothing I have ever heard before. He also has a heart murmur, just incase it helps somebody recognise him. Not castrated, no chip.
