Update from greyhound gap
"Just an update to say that ALL of the 16 Greyhounds now have rescue places to go to. With massive thanks to Kent Greyhound Rescue, Shropshire and Borders, Greyhound Rescue Wales, Hounds First, Greenfields and White Lodge! The first will be leaving our kennels to head to White Lodge Today thanks to Jackie Solomon, 1 tomorrow to Greenfields thanks to Hilary Wilshaw and the 4 to Sue Tipton will be leaving Sunday thanks to Stephen Poole. Massive thanks to our kennel owner also for making his driver available to take the 6 to Kent. Greyhound Rescue Wales will be taking there 2 in 2 weeks time (transport to be arranged) and just waiting for confirmation from Rachel Hayball as to where theres need to be moved to. Thank you to everyone for taking the time to share and help us network. Nice save folks!"

Update from their website from circa 1800 last night;
So far they have secured places with Shropshire, Greenfields, Greyhound Rescue Wales, White Lodge and Hounds First. That leaves 6 dogs to find a rescue space for.

Copying message to Dogsey as obviously already in the open domain - no contact details though?

Best to contact Greyhound Gap and ask what they want to happen. Here's the link to their website http://greyhoundgap.org.uk/homing-a-adoption/homeless-hounds?gclid=CO2DwYvZzrwCFWoOwwodSiEA3Q

Abe babe
What can we as ordinary helpers do? ..do we track down lots of kennels and rescue centres and share?
I want to help but haven't come across this scale of plea before.

Copied from email.

People know that Gap don't make appeals for help with dog's we help *WITH* dog's but today we are having to!!! We need URGENT help placing 16 male greyhounds, black and alot of them will be between 3-5 years of age and all ex racers so small dog and cat history not known!!! These dogs are currently safely in our kennels BUT and it is a massive but with kennels bills of £6000 a month already we can NOT kennel these dogs indefinately. The dogs are not owned by us and will remain at risk until rescue placements are found! We have secured a couple of weeks kennelling free of charge whilst we try to sort this out and locate placements BUT this is urgent!! We can only keep them for a couple of weeks under our care! We really hope the other rescues we have worked with and networked with over the years and help out regularly with dogs may be able to do the same for us now by sharing, networking and helping us to place these boys. This is one of those least known best shared!
type situations so please help us to find them safe placements!
