Thanks Sara. Thinking is that it is not Ben and looks like an older dog. Ben is only 2 yrs old and has more the shape of a cairn/westie.
Sarah
This found one is also quite grey around the muzzle so looks an older dog if that makes any difference. I can't see whether it has any white on its paw though as not sure whether front or back paw. I have crossposted the lost one to the Gumtree found one and also mentioned that Ben is chipped so if a vet scans, it should register as Ben if it's him. Last edited: 2014-02-24 20:01:47 by Sarah

Could a Doglost coordinator in the area check this found one out? Without a photo, it's difficult but this does seem like the right sort of description - http://www.gumtree.com/p/pets/dog-found-old-kilpatrick/1050001480#photo-content This one does have a tag on called Lucky but could someone have taken him in and called him "Lucky"? As in Lucky he was found???

Owner has told me that Ben looks like Toto from the Wizard of Oz but has no photo of him so we have posted a similar dog one.

Owner has been in regular contact with the police and local dog shelter, Bandeath, but he has not been brought in.I have called the council for her and he has not been picked up after an RTA. Looks like someone has lifted him up from the garden and taken him. I have made up a poster and owner is going to get someone local to print for her.If anyone can help by printing off some Doglost posters and distribute them in Falkirk, it would be much appreciated. Please help this lady get her dog back home.

Sorry to see that BEN is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (64923)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
