Also further thought, speak to The Bucks Herald and see if they will run a story with people attention headline such as "Dog stolen from van whilst owner at funeral". At least it will make more people aware of what is happening locally and will bring more attention to her. You might like to join up with owner (Peter Clunie)of missing Dottie on here Dog ID 63965 as well.

Also keep an eye on SDK website. This website is Council run for collecting stray dogs run by Councils throughout certain areas, Aylesbury is one of them. Also register Sniggs as missing on this site for dog warden. Tel No 08444 828321

Hi serinne you are doing all the right things. Do hope that the owner has got a Crime reference number out of the police as it does seem to look as though he has been stolen. Will keep an eye out for him locally. If you go onto Mix 96 (local radio station) website there is a form you can fill in and report Sniggs as missing. If there isn't please telephone them and they will guide you to where it is 01296 39396 - very helpful. Also you could speak to Pets at Home, Aylesbury or any other area to see if you can send them a poster and I'm sure they will display. There is a Vets practice within the store in Aylesbury as well. It really is a case of making him so very hot to handle also if you are offering a reward just make the wording as "substantial reward for safe return". If I can be of any further help please don't hesitate to contact me 07887652916. xLast edited: 2014-02-24 10:43:20 by ClaireC

I work at the council offices in Aylesbury. Will put some posters up there. Have you put any posters up at On Yer Bike near Quainton? They sometimes have a burger van in the carpark, so if they could put up a poster or two you'd have lots more people on the lookout x
serinne
Have searched for them only person of that name comes up in Bristol, the dog was in the owners van while he was at a funeral, he has reported it to the police, have posted posters all around have been to the location where they said they found sniggs another small village and nobody knows of that name, however the postcode is Wheatley which is alot bigger so will try there next Sniggs is all over facebook, I have emailed all the vets in aylesbury buckingham and Bicester area with the lost poster, have contacted all rescues and sanctuaries have put him on every dog page I am on, Will print some more pictures off tomorrow and go to Wheatley and post there, thanks for your help Claire, Shane is distraught Sniggs never leaves his side, as he is a farrier he takes his dog everywhere with him. Might go to Oakley school and ask if I can put a poster there like you say kids are great eyes
ClaireC
Hi Serinne if you have the full name of the person you can search for them by using google. Type in their name and see if anything comes up. I do believe that if there is such a person you have to pay a small fee in order to obtain the full address. Also I notice that the dog was last seen in the owners van , does this mean that the doors were opened and the dog has possibly been stolen? If this is the case, then you will need to notify the police and get a Crime Reference Number from them. There have been other dogs that have been stolen locally so I was told recently whilst out looking for a Spaniel towards your direction. You need to make Sniggs "too hot to handle" by postering and postering and postering. Put them up in as many places as you can find. Even put a poster in local Royal Mail boxes. Postmen do tend to keep on them and take one back to their Sorting Office to display for others. Local milkmen (if there are any in your area), local florists, local builders. School entrances, children are very good at looking out for dogs and of course they are back to school soon. Hope these suggestions brings Sniggs home. xxLast edited: 2014-02-23 21:30:35 by ClaireC

The owner has been to Oakley, is another small village nobody recognises the name of the person who posted as having found a dog, and the postcode they have given isn't actually Oakley it is Wheatley, been 6 hours now and no response from my message to them on that site. Will message Shane the owner,
ClaireC
Hi Serinne, I suppose an option if this person who may have Sniggs is a long time coming back to you is to go to Quanton and flood the village with posters in the hope that they contact you. Not sure if you have put up a reward up for safe return etc but might encourage whoever to get in touch that much quicker. xxLast edited: 2014-02-23 18:03:20 by ClaireC

I would urge all people to be weary of this site, I have paid the £12 subscription and all is does is get you to send a message to the person who has the dog, it doesn't give you their location or phone number so you can go and see if it is your dog, so now I just have to sit and wait for her to message me back. It could very well be sniggs as he is in Oakley alot but until this woman responds we have to sit and waitLast edited: 2014-02-23 15:20:18 by serinne
