I've come across a "Springer Spaniel For Sale" advert on the Preloved web site that just doesn't sit well with me. But despite hours of comparing marks- I still can't say for sure that it ISNT Ben.
Please advise me as to how I get this info to Ben's mum so she can confirm yes or no. I'm unable to insert a weblink on here as I'm working on an IPhone - but I've saved snap shots of the advert & can send these via email if that helps.

I hope its ok to put this here but....

Ben has been over a yearbut he needs his profile raised so he now has a Thunderclap.

He doesn't have a page or a facebook group so he hasn't got that immediate support so I thought maybe some of you would support him to.

These long term missing need all the help they can get to get out of the ether as we know only too well so this boy deserves a huge Thunderclap xx

The sighting this week near the lake is in the area Ben went missing from. A man saw a white dog with no owners in sight jumping a wall just as it was starting to get dark and then saw the owners poster and called them . Owners are continuing to return to this area and are hoping for more sightings as they need to be sure if Ben is still there.
I have suggested that they try to get some media coverage in local papers

update from owners...via email...
1st was in Grenoside, second was at parsons cross, but then had some calls from someone this week saying that he was by the lake a few times jumping across a wall, Dads spent ages back up there, Ben will be able to eat quite self sufficiently eating rabbits and birds, there's plenty of water as well, just wish we could find the sod!! Xx

owner thought found stray dog 65968 may be her dog but have explained its Sherfield not Sheffield the dog was found and has already been positively ID'd as being Dylan.

Maybe worth sharing with Barnsley and Sheffield postcodes as it's a popular place for people to travel too for dog walking, as it has been half term locally there may have been more people about for sightings but they may not have received an alert if they weren't local also? I hope he's found soon

There is a photo of a liver and white Spaniel on my FB page. The dog is with Dudley Dog Warden. I know it is quite away from you but just thought it is worth a try. I hope it is Ben but the photo on FB doesn't show his back so cannot see if there are the same markings. Hope you find Ben very soon x

Ben went missing on a walk 38 miles from his home . His owners stayed in the area for a long time after he vanished and have returned there.
His owners have contacted dog wardens and surrounding holding kennels and I have suggested they try to get an advert or a story in the local newspaper.
There has been a possible sighting of a dog like Ben in a park which his owners are trying to follow up on but this dog was wearing a collar and Ben was not wearing one when he went missing.
Hoping Ben is back home very soon x

• If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
• Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
• A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (65060)
