Just had to say thank you Bo! What you are doing is wonderful. Perhaps a few more people in your area could get together with you to ease your load, if enough of you did it you could get the job down to a day or two a month each. I know I have burned many a dinner searching the listings myself:). We have an e-petition on Cornwall.gov.uk asking for the Dog Warden service to be more open/do more. They don't advertise at all and don't use SDK or any other so if a dog ends up in Cornwall there is precious little chance of it being reunited - this case would have been one of them. Hopefully enough signatures will come in from all over the country creating pressure on the Council to change things. Again, very well done to you. X
Bo
Aw - just seen this great result . Brilliant - well spotted for ID with the missing one - made my day xxx

Hurrah. I am SO pleased you have him back and huge thank you to Bo, who cross posts from SDK and other places.
Thank you for the update re the microchip, and I hope you get answers from the chip company in the meantime enjoy having your lovely boy back home with you x

I was just going to say that Gino:)) Well done Bo.x
Gino
Well done Bo for crossposting details and reuniting this dog with its owner.
Gino
Great news..glad we were able to reunite you...TG someone told you about doglost.as its the 7th day and legally would have become the property of the council.
MJones
Reggiemollieros he is indeed microchipped, we updated his details when we moved to frome and had a confirmation email to say it had all been done but the old details were still in the system when he was scanned :/ he also had his name and our number on a tag on his collar but that is now gone, he must have lost it somewhere. Will be speaking to microchip comoany today to find out what went wrong. Thanks again everyone x
MJones
He's home! Thank you so much to everyone who was involved in reuniting us! :)

i cross posted this on lost and found Frome page on facebook weeks ago - shame you never saw it then - hopefully you will be reunited today -

In case you need it this is the number of the dog warden in Frome 01643 703704 as they should also be keeping a record of any lost and found dogs. I found it on this weblink http://www.westsomersetonline.gov.uk/Environment/Environmental-Health/Dog-Warden-Service/Stray-Dogs They will probably direct you to SDK anyway and this is the reference number on his listing on SDK site MDC 250214-0916. Might be useful to have that when you phone. Do let us know how you get on please and hope you have him back soon. Last edited: 2014-03-05 08:26:51 by reggiemollieros

Hi MJones, I don't think you can do anything before they open as this is cross posted from another site however if you have any problems report back on here will try and get you some help. I am so pleased that you have found this photo. It says he is microchipped on SDK services website. Is there a problem with his microchip do you know? If there is not could you let me know on here, why you have not been contacted to let you know he had been found please? I would like to know what scanner they are using and if there is no problem with the microchip why you were not contacted. Many thanks. Last edited: 2014-03-05 08:23:05 by reggiemollieros

This is our dog! Been looking for him for a week with no joy, only found out about this site last night. I have all the details to call but they dont open till 9am is there anything I can do before then?
kl
Bo, I wasnt trying to be sarcastic and in no way was i trying to diminish what you guys do - im on here nearly every day and have indeed been out looking for lost dogs in my area at times and cross posting as many of them as i can around this area - i have set a fb page for lost and found in this area too - you guys do an amazing job and i was merely asking so that i could pass on details to other people who asked me about this dog when i cross posted it to Frome lost and found page!

Would be interesting to see. I know some of the dogs don't get updated very quickly on sdk, depending on the area I think, as others are very quick. Maybe Mendip ones are being reunited but not updated? Let me know what you find out :-)
Bo
Millie - I've emailed their council and asked a Freedom Of Information request ref their stats for number entering pounds, number collected by owners, number rehomed. Number PTS. From a previous request their stats were excellent but that was in the year 2010. Xx

Bo, it is a huge task and I used to share them on Facebook and copy the photos to my computer but I always found it hard to keep up to date with the outcome of each dog. I was so grateful when I saw you were copying them all across making it easier to share and match xx

Thanks for posting all the sdk dogs Bo, as always you're a STAR to do it. I'm seeing a lot of dogs from Frome come up and not getting reunited, really hope there's not something funny going on :-( Fingers crossed this one gets reunited xx
ClaireC
I would hope that as it is chipped, that the dog warden will at least be phoning someone and again hoping that the details are up to date.
Bo
Oh I'm sorry Ki - in my haste to get them on here whilst cooking for my disabled mother etc, I didn't have chance to check all was there. I shall update it now. Feel free to cross post them all if you prefer - normally takes me an hour every day in total.
kl
it would be helpful if you were to say the sex of the dog and if it is microchipped the name on there as people may be able to help you if they have moved away etc
