Hang in there Karen - you are doing great. Remember to try and set up a feeding station to contain here where YOU want her to be, speak to people in houses where you saw her and see if you can sit quietly in a garden for a few evenings - have some nice food ready and then set up a feeding place for her like the farmer did in teh barn.
karen
Managed to see Jasmine last night going through bins in Peasedown St. John while out searching with the owners however just as we expected on getting out of the car she ran! She's looking very thin now and we're really concerned. I just don't know what we're going to do now, sightings everyday but she's so fast.
karen
Jasmine has been on the move again. Last seen in the Clutton/Temple Cloud area near to a farm today. Please let anyone you know in that area as this is quite far from where we live and it's difficult to spread the word.
karen
Seen today in Peasedown, my mum got right up to her but she bolted again! We've had a call from a local farmer who says she's been sleeping in one of their barns and they've been feeding her which is great, we know she's got shelter and isn't starving. They're going to continue to feed her and hopefully they'll eventually be able to get close to her. If she's sighted please call us but don't scare her, please don't go out searching for her or attend sightings as we don't want her to be frightened and leave the area.
scattycat69
Pleased to see her location is known and hopefully she will be reunited soon. If I can help in anyway please let me know.Last edited: 2014-03-07 10:47:34 by scattycat69

Thanks Spindle - owner has a trap on the way. Thanks winniepig, but we do know roughly where she is.

Reiterate: Please if you see her contact owner as soon as you can, but do not try and approach Jasmine. Any reported sightings are very helpful.
Spindle
Doglost has access to traps. Need to be put in barn if shes feeding regularly.

long shot but has this one been checked Id=65551

Is the dog warden able to lend a trap or maybe the local hunt would have a fox trap?
Shelagh
Could the farmer not set a trap in the barn,to catch her?

Could this page be bumped again?

Thank you, she was seen between Camerton and Radford last night, her owner got within 20ft of her but she bolted! She was then seen in the Timsbury area eating from bins.
emmalouise
If she's ex-breeding I'd try and get a few people with small similar to her size dogs who are friendly and pref can be let off lead walking them around the area she's been spotted. She'll be more likely I approach an off lead dog than people. I know the weather isn't good for an actual barbecue but maybe the smells of sausages etc and other dogs would tempt her out
karen
That was Peasedown Bobbie but she was seen at Camerton village hall at 10.30 this morning.

Karen is she back in Peasedown or was that Camerton?

She was seen in the village half an hour ago looking well.
karen
She's 3 years old so we believe she was kept for breeding yes. Thank you for your help, we've just had a sighting back in Peasedown which is great but by the time my sister had got there she was gone. My sister and her husband are offering her a loving home for life so I hope she is caught.

My mum lives in Carlingcott and is going to keep an eye out. She thought she'd seen something unusual whilst walking in between carlingcott and peasedown this morning but only found out she was missing after this, she did mention to someone searching for Jasmine. There's lot of good hiding spots in this area so i'm sure she's found somewhere to camp out.
also- someone had mentioned to my mum that she'd come from a puppy farm type place, is she an ex-breeding bitch? Just that they tend to be nervous around people but much more likely to approach other dogs Last edited: 2014-03-02 21:27:16 by emmalouise

Helpers in the area: Please, keep a look out for Jasmine, she was in Camerton but not been seen recently. Hoping she has gone back towards Peasedown? Please if you see her contact Karen as soon as you can, but do not approach Jasmine. Pleaase spread the word. Thanks.
DogLostBobble - Area Co-ordinator - Somerset & East Sussex
Karen, I have asked for page to be bumped due to sightings - but remember if helping a gentle approach is required as she is nervous dog.
karen
Hi I'm not sure that scenting would work as my sister only had her for less that 24 hours before she escaped so jasmine doesn't really know her owners. Can this post be bumped? As she was seen at 10pm last night in Camerton again. Thanks.Last edited: 2014-03-02 14:00:32 by karen

I don't know if this is part of the scenting advice but I have read this before and it seems to work. Take an item of the owners clothing (the longer it has been worn the better,at least 24 hrs) and tie to a tree or something near the last place she was sighted. Also put a bowl of water (she may not have had access to fresh clean water) in the same place. Maybe also put a note for people not to move it. Hopefully she will pick up the owners scent and return to that place.
karen
She had been seen in Carlingcott wood today but most lately in camerton, could people poster all local areas? As we're worried she's moving further a field and we're all exhausted and need some help!
DogLostBobble - Area Co-ordinator - Somerset & East Sussex
Scattycat69: If you want to help look - would be very helpful to co-ordinate with the owner, thus avoiding potential problems.
DogLostBobble - Area Co-ordinator - Somerset & East Sussex
Contacted owner & sent Poochpal's advice sheet. Great that she is being sighted. Please take care when searching that you work with the main road to your backs and go gently.

NOT a good idea to put onto public forum where sightings are as too many helpers could spook Jasmine. Please do help and look, but take a softly, softly approach - remember she is unfamilar with the area. Last edited: 2014-03-01 08:51:20 by Bobble - Area Co-ordinator - Somerset & East Sussex

Yes please. Sighted yesterday 28/02/2014 at Peasedown cricket club at 14.50 and 16.30 then sighted at wellow tyning, Peasedown at 8pm and the red post inn just after. Thanks Karen.
scattycat69
If you could give an indication to the sightings, would it be worth me adding these to the posters distributed in Psj and Carlingcott? Can I also clarify. Was it Carlingcott Woods (I'm not sure where this is) or Camerton Woods (which is shown on google maps just behind the cricket club off Whitebrook Lane)? Just trying to pin point the location(s) for local dog walkers etc who will be out today.

Thank you, she was seen 4 times today including by her owner on their street but she ran off again.

Sorry to see that Jasmine is missing and doesn't know the area. Once photo added it is important to get plenty of posters put up and spead the word. Hopefully she'll be found soon.
