That's brilliant news Karen, so pleased that Gypsy has been reunited with her family, thank you for looking after her until they were found x
Thank you Paw for postering for little Gypsy x

Only managed to get a couple of posters up, will go and take them down later today, Gypsy seems to be an appropriate name! Must have been very confusing for her in the wrong car park most dogs do recognise their owners car, no wonder she kept circling the area.

Reunited with her owner 5/4/14 - the power of facebook! Her name is Gypsy and she's from Yoxford. She ran after a muntjack and her owner ccouldn't keep up with her. He'd parked way on the other side of the common but she found a carpark to wait for him in albeit the wrong one! They were both very pleased to see one another. Many thanks for all your help reuniting her.

Probably worth letting The Ship pub know and also the tea rooms both by the beach and going out of Dunwich on the bend. Has the lady at Pampered Pets been told ? If I lost a dog, I would probably phone there in case it had been handed in ...

Still not too sure about the car park, I know there are 2 on the lefthand side of the road after the turning for Minsmere, then a bit further down on the right is a track to a farm with holiday lets - Mount Pleasant, I think. There is a car park on the Blythburgh road with forestry number on, but I don't know the number, and walks link that area with the other car parks. I will try and do some posters without a picture and put them around Minsmere & on the Westleton road from Minsmere, and will drop some off at the Eel's Foot in Eastbridge, if I can get out early enough tomorrow. Thank you for looking after her.

Thank you for the update Karen, and thank you for keeping her safe until the owner is found x

In reply to 'Paws' - the car park I'm calling area 42 is the forestry turning marked 42 on a red sign. It's on the right about a half mile out of Westleton village heading toward Dunwich.

PS - I took her to be checked at my vets and she's not chipped and had no name tag on her although she did have a collar on.

I'm working on a photo - my phone's kaput and can't take pictures. I will contact Minsmere & the NT tomorrow - I've called all the local vets and RSPCA etc & dog warden is coming tomorrow but I'm going to foster her until she 's claimed. She is a really sweet dog, used to people and other dogs. Flyers up in my town and more will be put up tomorrow around Westleton Yoxford etc. Thank you all for your help.

Can you please add a photo

Any chance of a picture to make some posters - I can put some around Minsmere/Westleton area. Are the NT people at Dunwich Heath and the caravan park aware as there were lots of visitors there yesterday, so may not be a local dog and owners may ring either of those places. Although I know the area I'm not sure which is "area 42" car park.Last edited: 2014-03-03 13:48:49 by Paw
