- Today we brought missy home and layed her to rest in her favorite spot in the garden. We're feeling much better now that she is back at home with us where she belongs. Thank you all for your kind words and support. XxLast edited: 2014-03-21 08:48:18 by Angus

- Am so sorry to hear about Missy - at least you were reunited and had some closure. Poor baby. Run free at the bridge xx

- RIP poor little Missy. That you to the dog warden for going the extra mile and contacting the owners personally.
Makes me wonder how many of the Highways Agencies don't have scanners, and how many of the RTA victims are never checked to let their owners know????? - 2014-03-05 13:38 digbysmum
- Tragic - another traffic victim. I am so sorry and my thoughts are with the family. Taken too soon, but run free at the bridge, lovely Missy, and many thanks to that kind dog warden xxx

- How very sad but, as many people have said, massive thanks to the dog warden who went to positively ID this poor little girl. At least you now have closure - however sad - unlike so many people who never know what has happened to their precious pets. R.I.P. Missy and enjoy playing with the other dogs at Rainbow Bridge. x

- Thank you all so much for your kind words at this sad time. A special thank you to the warden that went out of her way to find out missy belonged to us and thank you to the warden that came to my house personally to tell me that missy had died. He could of easily have broken the news over the phone but chose to come in person. We will miss her dearly but I no she's now in doggy heaven and that puts a smile on my face when I feel like crying. Rip bitch have fun chancing the cats ( I know how much you loved to chance them away) xx

- That is very sad. Thought Highways Agency had got their act together, seems as though we have just taken a huge step backwards. What ever happened to Jester`s law?

- We at RBC found out by chance today that a dog had been killed in a road traffic collision on the M4 on Saturday afternoon. The body had been collected by the Highways Agency contractor who do not have a microchip scanner. I have this evening been to the Highways Agency depot at Chieveley and i have confirmed that the dog that was collected is Missy (identified by microchip) The owner has been informed and as you can imagine she was distraught Run free Missy

- I saw a dog matching this description running down the road near to Theale swingbridge on Friday about 3pm. When I pulled over the dog ran down a private sideroad and I was unable to follow. It was clearly lost, but according to the dates this might not be the right dog?
