- Not good I'm afraid. I've just spoken to the dog warden's office as I need to update the doglost listing, and they say the dog has not yet been claimed, and after 7 days will go through the rehoming process. 7 days will be up on Sunday.

- Don't want to speak too soon but it looks like the owner has been found and will be collecting the dog tomorrow. Once i receive confirmation I will update the listing as reunited. Great news, fingers crossed!!

- Claire I wonder if the Dover dog warden would tall you where she'd been taken if you were interested. At least you know she is somewhere safe now. Well done.

- Thanks for updated photo Claire. She's a poppet.

- Sadly it's definitely not Foxy she's much too small for Foxy and has a docked tail. The lady who managed to catch her has sent me some photos so I've updated the description and photos.

- Looks remarkably like Foxy, doglost 63887, as Debbie commented earlier. Would have meant a North to South walk of 130 miles for her, but possible. The muzzle of newly found dog looks chubbier than Foxy's ..but maybe the fact that she was barking when photographed could have distorted the shape?

- It's good that this dog is now safe, thanks to you and the eventual catcher, Claire. Sad that her days may be numbered if the owner can't be found quickly now though. So we are still looking for the owner of a FEMALE then? So many different Lost and Found websites to trawl through aren't there?, and none as clear as Doglost. At least we have some possible matches to investigate, with Shelagh and Debbie's suggestions.
I have no idea if dog wardens actively try and reunite dogs or whether they just hold them for a week until their fate is decided on the last day? - 2014-03-09 12:45 Claire Jones
- Hi again, I have looked at the dog missing since 2011 but it's definitely not her I'm afraid, the colouring is all wrong and the face shape is different. Will have a look at the others. Can someone tell me will the dog warden be looking on here?

- Hi I have some good news, someone saw my facebook shares and let me know that they came across the same dog a bit further up the hill later last night and managed to catch her. She was very frightened but friendly, and is now with the dog warden. Maggiemags I am very interested to hear about the dog missing since 2011 as it did seem like she might have been fending for herself for a while. Not having done this before I am not sure what to do next. Last edited: 2014-03-09 12:40:31 by Claire Jones
