Does this mean you just liked him OR have you adopted him
Bit confused

Sounds like this little guy is a right little charmer and lady luck is plumping the cushions up already !! Can we have a re-homed photo please.
Loryn Oliver
Ray already scanned him (no chip) and has better photos that me. If any owner turns up for him they want hanging from the nearest tree as they made no effort to find or feed him when he was living feral but that is the fate of most of these coursing lurchers in this county. He doesn't need to creep into anyones heart, cos he had already moved into mine the very first time I saw him.
ClaireC
me n my girl, he would have been taken with Ray to Hollytrees where he will be scanned, vet checked and treated. I'm sure that Ray will send a photo in to check against dogs that are missing. Have no worries, if no owner turns up then after a period of time I'm sure he will find a fab home and comfy sofa having crept into someone's heart x

I recognise that man! Well done Ray again xx
Debz
I'm sure if he isn't reclaimed he'll find a lovely home...... (Eh Loryn? ;) )

Well done and thank you Loryn and Ray For making sure this little guy is safe. Do you know where he was taken to Loryn? Wonder if he has been registered as lost on any sites.

Well done to Ray and the other person concerned in this poor dogs rescue what a wonderful man I have read so much about him xx
Loryn Oliver
Sorry no piccies unless Ray has some, I have been carrying my camera in the van for weeks and when I went to use it it was flat!!!! I took piccies on my phone, but can't load them onto computer. He was a lot smaller than I thought and at a guess no more than a collie bitch size, so obviously a Saluki X, maybe with a Whippet. I am sure there will be a home for him as he is such a sweety.

What a lovely story, yes I agree Ray is a saint, well done, hope there is a home available for him xxx
AlisonH
Well done Ray for coming to the rescue of a stray dog yet again.
Loryn Oliver
Saluki was checked for microchip by Ray and not dog 66081 as this one has no white tip on tail as 66081 has.

Have heard so much lovely stuff about Ray. He really is a saint. Often support his rescue because I know that the money is well spent. Hope this sweetheart finds a caring home. Is a picture possible?

Message from Loryn...
Woweeeee, what a day yesterday was, I am soooooooooo happy, happy, happy as we (Ray and I) caught the Saluki that has been living feral for the past 4 weeks. I have been leaving food out daily for him since my first sighting of him, but have never been able to get nearer than a few hundred yards. So this poor dog need a knight in shining armour and up stepped Ray Dedicoat of Hollytrees Animal Rescue (KING of Dog Catchers) dressed in his jeans and a dayglo jacket and stinking of raw meat. He made a round trip of 5 hours to lay a trail, set up his trap and then lay in wait for Saluki, who took just 4 hours to go in the trap. This dear little dog just wagged his tail as we approached the trap showing no sign of aggression or fear. He was very underweight and had a few ticks on him, but nothing a bit of Tlc won't put right. Ray put him in the van and he jumped onto the seat and within minutes was sprawled out - a seriously emotional moment for me. Who needs Superman when the dog world has it's own silent hero - Ray Dedicoat a man with a passion for what he does.

just been told a Lurcher has been in the fields behind Allenbys Chase Sutton Bridge for the last two nights but they thought it was black? Perhaps not the same dog. . . Last edited: 2014-04-03 22:37:53 by Debz

Tall order I know, has this dog got any ear or tail coat that can be seen or is he/she smooth? As the crow flys it is not far from where 66081 was taken from, could have been taken and tried then dumped. Just seen this has been suggested, has the owner of this dog been contacted? well done Loryn for leaving food, hopefully this dog is getting some of it.
AlisonH
Bumped due to today's sighting.

This dog is still running loose. My husband saw it a week ago on the grounds of Sutton Bridge golf course and then in the fields alongside New Road, Sutton bridge. I saw it this morning in the fields alongside New Road, Sutton Bridge...

A whole week has passed since I first saw this lost soul and although i have been out most days I have been unable to make much progress. I have left food out and have spent many hours chatting to folk trying to get them to ring me if they see the dog staying in one particular area. I will be back on Monday maybe to leave more food out, common lady luck wave your magic wand.
Loryn Oliver
I went out on Sunday with Sandy to look for dog, and althought chatted to lots of people in the area, there had only been one siting. He/she seems to be staying in the same area of Peters Point, so I am trying to establish where he/she sleeps, so I can leave food. I went out today and did the same thing again,I met a man who's wife had seen the dog the night before, but this time it had gone over the A17 into the village. I drove around and chatted to a few folk, leaving my tel number with some and tonight I got a call saying the dog had been hanging around just outside the village. I understand that some people had tried to catch the dog, but evaded them and headed back to the Peters Point area. I will be out again tomorrow, common Lady Luck gimme some luck, wave your magic wand!! I have no idea if this dog is 66081, but has a lucher/greyhounds type collar on, but i do know it is not the dog that was caught at Fosdyke/Kirton.
