STANLEYS BEEN FOUND HE WAS A CLIFF EDGE

update from facebook....

Clare Walker........ We are all overjoyed that he has been found alive and well, all those prayers and positive vibes have clearly done the trick. Thank you to everyone who has been sharing and supporting, thank you to those on the ground actively searching and postering.

He does not appear to have any injuries and once on lead was pulling back towards home. He has now been without food and water for 5 days and is quite thin, and the rescue has therefore taken the decision to move Stanley to a local foster home with the ability to acquire immediate veterinary attention and offer 24/7 monitoring of his physical and psychological well-being for a short period to ensure there are no lasting effects from his ordeal. The main concern is for any kidney or liver function problems which may not show up immediately, and as he's such a tiny dog 5 days without food and water is quite extreme.

At 250 miles away and with bronchitis, I am unable to help in the search, but I am with you all in spirit. Everything crossed for this little darlings safe return. I keep checking hoping on good news, - good luck everyone.

Please join Stanley's Facebook group listed below, To keep up with latest info and details. If you are local to the Herne Bay area a search party has been organised for this morning Saturday at 11. And another for Sunday if he is not found. All help would be very much appreciated.Last edited: 2014-03-22 07:49:17 by ElfMum

Hi there - have cross posted on our Fb pages - keeping everything crossed that he is found soon.

Thanks for the info, I feel as though I know you as I am on TLDR most days. These chi's are so quick when they want to be (I have 4) you need eyes in the back of your head and they are little devils! I can't believe that after finding a lovely new home, that this has happened to his poor owners, they must be beside themselves with worry.Last edited: 2014-03-20 16:19:25 by Chi lover

Hi chi lover, I'm shakirebel on the TLDR forum, so I recognise you.

I am copying and pasting this from his owner, which details how he got away:

He literally disappeared as I put the others on the lead I turned 2 put him on and he was gone must have taken my eyes off him 4 30 secs there was no one else around and it was really quiet he didnt bark or yelp total silence we searched and searched 4 hours at the time.

So, he seems to have just bolted. With regards to the specifics of the location, again, I am copying and pasting what the owner said:

There is a car park at the end of bishopstone lane and u can walk from there up towards reculver towers he went missing on the cliff side about 100 mts before the main path that goes through the small tree/wooded area I walked it this am and my t shirt was still tied 2 the bush where he went missing.Last edited: 2014-03-20 15:53:24 by vickik9mgraham

Any details as to how he got lost, did he get out or was he on a walk. Too far away to help search for him but everything crossed for his safe return. He was on a rescue site and I followed his progress until he was rehomed, you must be devastated at his disappearance, my thoughts are with you.

Thank you all for your help. I think that if we can get a more active canvassing campaign going, that would really help. As yet, we have no confirmed sightings. Therefore, maybe getting the word out will produce a sighting.

I have set up a Facebook group dedicated to finding Stanley. The more people that join, the more heads we can put together, and maybe we can get a proper campaign going. The link is below.

Let's hope Stanley is found very soon - can anyone in the area help with posters, please (especially as the DogLost one says to call with sightings rather than approach) x
