Just checking in and sorry to see there has still been no news. Have fliers been given to all delivery people around the area? Those who are out early mornings like milk, post and bin men are most likely to spot her if she is about.
Ness
I'm sorry you haven't found little Lola yet. Any leads at all? Did you contact The News? Hang in there.
Dawn and Lola
A new week and Lola is still missing :(
DogLostNina
I do so hopw that the owner is having some results in finding Lola. I am wondering if she uses facebook which I dont go on to keep viewers up to date.
DogLostNina
Sorry its me again! Thinking about the schools they break this Friday I beleve for Easter so you would have to be quick. Has the chip company been contacted so that they can flag up that Lola is missing.
DogLostNina
Another thought have you been in touch with any schools. If you were to offer a reward for school funds that might help. Have you been as far as Havent and asked Asda amd BQ to help by postering.
DogLostNina
I have a little knowledge of the area. I am sure you have put notices along Portdown Hill on the burger bars. A lot of people use the car parks for scenic veiws and lunchtime breaks. Is it worth asking the QA Hospital at Cosham if they can put up some notices as perhaps workers use this area.
Ness
Well done Dawn, you're doing all you can.
How about trying to get a reporter from The News interested? It's certainly worth a go.
Stay positive :-)
Dawn and Lola
Nina - I have done everything i can think off. I have put up 100's of posters, asked people, wandered around for hours, registered her on every lost pet website, spoke to kennels and vets every few days, notice going in paper on wednesday for a week! Dont know what else to do?? Been shared on FB 4,500 times! xxx My girl is sorely missed x
DogLostNina
Please owner can you bring us up to date with what has been done so far to get Lola home.
Ness
I'm still sharing locally on facebook, twitter and word-of-mouth.

You probably have but, have you been to the city kennels in Burrfields Road and out to Stubbington Ark? Sometimes, the person who answers the phone may not have the most up to date information. Probably worth a visit to see for yourself.
Dawn and Lola
:( STILL MISSING, EVERYONE PLEASE WATCH OUT, LAST SEEN ON TOP OF PORTSDOWN HILL, CHASING THE HORSES AT TOP OF FARLINGTON AVENUE XXX PLEASE WATCH FOR ANYONE WALKING HER AROUND DRAYTON, COSHAM OR PURBROOK. I AM VERY GRATEFUL FOR EVERYONES HELP, THE SUPPORT HAS BEEN OVERWHELMING XXXX

I have spoken to Lola's owner this evening, the one seen with the blond lady is thought not to be Lola as that one was wearing a harness. The last positive sighting was last Tuesday. It is now thought that she has gone to ground and not able to find a way out yet. I have emailed our general information, all is being done that can be done, just need another sighting.
Ratel
Yes, Nina, I am puzzled and concerned too. This is a weird one.
DogLostNina
Aynone else puzzled by this one, hope no news is good news
DogLostPoochpal - Regional Co-ordinator - South West - Police Liaison Team
So frustrating for you. I have only just caught up with the thread and bumped Lola's page due to your update. Would a local paper or radio station help publicise the search?
charlie
If you don't hear from blonde lady asap could a description of her be put by posters just in case she's planning to try and keep your dog? As I'm sure someone will name her.
Ness
Oh goodness, so near yet so far! I will share again on the Portsmouth sites and hopefully someone will spot something. Have you plastered the area with posters? There will be plenty of people about in the sunnier weather. Stay positive!

Afternoon everyone, we have an update regarding Lola.
We have tracked down Rose who says that Lola has been found and collected by a woman, long blonde hair, 30s-40s, owns a golden/ cream labrador and goes running at Hillsea Lines/ Foxes. We hope Lola is being looked after but really want her home now. We miss her lickiness terribly and are desparate to have her back! Thanks for all your advice and messages. We're still hopeful and positive!

Put plenty of posters up at Foxs Forest, include a plea to the couple who picked her up and mention that the telephone number was incorrect - it could have been a mistake.
Red Alert
I have put a plea on Facebook to share & share. I really hope we can get a result xx
Dawn and Lola
Hi Everyone, ive had a busy few days and trying to remain positive. I now know that Lola walked all the way from Purbrook to Hilsea, and was found on Wednesday in the foxes forest by a lady called Rose and a gentleman. They asked many people around the forest and told the community warden that they would care for her at home for a few days. They left a number but it was the wrong number. Nothing been handed in at Pound or local vets as yet xxx Come home Lola xxxxLast edited: 2014-03-21 20:33:45 by Dawn and Lola

Awww thank you Ness xxx Youre so lovely, thank you xx
Ness
Plaster Facebook and Twitter. I'll try and post it to as many local facebook groups I can think of too.
Also, posters in the pubs and shops - plus nearby schools.Kids may be playing out now the evenings are a bit lighter and spot something.

Hang in there.

OK - I've cross-posted the link to about 20 local facebook pages! Also done all the Lost & Found pages plus Hampshire police. Come on Lola, show yourself!Last edited: 2014-03-19 18:42:40 by Ness
Dawn and Lola
Thanks Ness, ive done all that today. Ive had a phonecall this evening to say Lola was seen running up by Purbrook Church yesterday at 10am. Ive walked all along top of hill today and nothing? Also a friend walked at the foxes wood today in Hilsea and someone found a sausage dog there??? Has taken it home to Northend? Her microchip hasnt been scanned yet? Patience is slowly killing me! xxx
Ness
Hi Dawn
I'm in Waterlooville and will share on FB too.
Not to worry you but as you say she is not a wanderer, do you think she may have been stolen? If that is a possibility, contact the police sooner rather than later.
However she has gone, publicity is the key! Print off and deliver/stick/circulate as many posters as you can. Get her trending on Twitter and get her shared across Facebook. Get as many people to spread the word as you can.
Contact all the local vets, rescue centres and council wardens.
Make sure your chip company know she has gone too.
Good luck, really hope to see her home safe and sound soon.
Dawn and Lola
Thank you Joanne, she wasnt a wanderer so im hoping someone has picked her up, she is microchipped so fingers crossed xx
Joanne Barringer
Ive shared this on my fb and Ill be checking this evening when I walk my dog in this area

Sorry to see that LOLA is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (66278)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
