Kelly was picked up as a stray dog today by myself in Walsall. I've been in touch with her owners and they will be arranging to go and collect her from kennels.

I cannot tell if it is a match, but there is a springer bitch on "forgotten dogs need loving homes" facebook page which looks similar facially, but opposite side shown. Listed as Tasha. Hope you get your girl home soon.

NOT SURE BUT A LADY DRIVES TO HAMPTON FARM SHOP..... CAR PARK...... EVESHAM WORC’S. LETS THE DOG OUT FOR A SHORT WHILE AND DRIVES OFF. NOT A NORMAL DOG WALKER? MOST OF US DOG WALKERS.... WALK THE FIELDS A JOINING THE FARM SHOP. THE DOG IS OVER WEIGHT AND GETTING ON IN YEARS. CAR REG xxxxxx THE DOG GETS A LITTLE TIME IN THE FIELD JUST A FEW MINUTES THEN LOADED BACK INTO THE CAR. Seeks, I have contacted a local council GLO when looking for a little lost cocker spaniel. I had been told she was seen with the travellers from a local site. GLO went on and looked for the dog and said to me 'if the dog was on the site, he would bring the dog off for me. He came back and said she was not there. So I had to take his word. It is always worth contacting a local GLO if you think a lost/stolen dog is on a travellers site.

I also believe if a lost/stolen dog is on a travellers site, you have to have a signed statement from the person who has seen the dog on the site and then the police will go with local DW and GLO to get the dog.

If I am wrong, please correct me.

Seeks, I think I can get near to this answer ofor your qs re GLO. They are people attached to the Councils for an area where there are Traveller Sites. They are there to assist both the travellers, and the public. I know from our one locally that if the police have to visit the local sites thy are nearly always accompanied by the Traveller Liaison officer to see if they can assist as well. Again from our local site, that if there is a dog missing in the area they do go onto the site (having spoken to the owner of the site) to take in some posters for them to see if they have seen any of the missing dogs etc.

I so hope you will soon find Kelly. Good advice about posters with reward on them... Its what we are doing as our Pup may well have ended up with a traveller

Can you not get close enough to there site to see as they don't tend to keep large dogs inside,even put posters near to there as they would rather get a reward than keep a dog.If you haven't already also get her on Facebook as public and beg people to share this will make her to hot to handle and that way more likely to contact you.

Still no sign of Kelly :( think she is still in the Worcestershire area, newspaper article going out on Thursday fingers crossed! There is a substancial reward for her return, think she may be in the gypsy site near where him was found

Another good way of getting these 2 to public attention is by asking the local radio station if they can broadcast an appeal for them. Also local paper is another good source to get people's attention of how this elderly gentleman was duped into letting them go. They will, I'm sure run a story.

Good idea to make the microchip company aware of what has happened. If you are unable to find the number now please speak to your vet practice who first chipped them they will possibly have a record of the number and point you in the right direction to the Microchip company.
