NGJ
That was great work Jenny and Tiga,do you do this full time or just voluntarily and do you have a website. Just in case we ever need your services . Thx NGJ
Clare
So happy for you to have got Ruby back. I was so worried about the busy roads around the LookOut. Fantastic job everyone x
Jenny & Tiga k9tracker
Yes NGJ - that was us, Tiga had tracked to that gate from the forest and we saw some big paw prints on the road side but that was as it hailed and snowed and Tiga lost the scent for a while but was trying hard to pick it up again. He went to the road and crossed, checked the grass in the middle and came back, much to my relief! Glad you noticed the Hi Viz on both Tiga and me - we never know where we might end up!
cuzziee
so pleased she is safe and warm at home, enjoy those cuddles Ruby x
Jane
Hi to all who have helped in reuniting Ruby with us, you have all been amazing with all your efforts, without your help it would have been impossible to find her. We would like to especially thank Jenny and her tracking dog Tiga whose ability to track and find another dog was fantastic and very impressive. Ruby has been fed, watered , bathed and most of all cuddled to death. She is now fast asleep after her adventures. Thanks again to all and Dog Lost which is a great service. Xx
NGJ
Jenny,it was just a few minutes after 4 o'clock. I just thought it was an unusual place to cross for a normal dog walker and wondered if you were involved in the search as you both were dressed in hi viz and seemed very well equipped . Had you come from the lookout and then went back in?. Would be good to hear the full story from Bradley tomorrow.
Jenny & Tiga k9tracker
NGJ - was that just after the hail and snow storm when Tiga lost the scent and we crossed to the middle and then Tiga said no and came back? Or was I hurrying back down the A322 to the car because we had just had a sighting?
Jenny & Tiga k9tracker
So pleased this little girl is back home and Bradley will update the full story tomorrow after catching up on some sleep! Not often two dogs with the same name are reunited in one afternoon! So welcome home Ruby the Bassett and Ruby the Collie.
AlisonH
Wonderful news. So pleased Ruby is safely home.
Jane
I am so glad that Ruby is back home safe and well.
NGJ
What fantastic news to come home too. I drove over to Pennyhill Park area today and even passed what I know now is the tracker dog and helper crossing the A322. I even popped into the Look Out probably at the same time as Ruby was being found. Made my day. I don't feel so bad now about not catching Ruby when I first came across her with Saza. What a fantastic service this Lost Dog site is. Have fun Ruby.
Saza
Fantastic news!! So pleased she is home safely. How wonderful to have help from the tracking dog. People are amazingly kind. Well done everyone. Dog Lost at its best! Ruby and family will all sleep better tonight.

Not too much dinner I hope!
Yes .. Ruby is home safe and sound. She is a little thin which is not surprising as she has covered quite a few miles since she went missing, but I have just had a message saying that "she is leaping around like a lamb" as she's so pleased to be home!! Love it!
I have put the reunited photo on .. you may need to refresh the page a couple of times to see it.
Many thanks to all the people who have helped search, phoned in with sightings etc and most of all to the lovely person that caught her when she was on her way back to the Pennyhill Park area. So glad that Ruby will be spending the night in the warm with her family tonight.
Stay safe now Ruby!

Ruby has been seen at the Lookout in the last half an hour and is very frightened. My husband is there currently trying to get her. He has seen her, but she seems too terrified and keeps running. Any suggestions!!!
Clare
Off work today so i'll have a drive around the area last seen.
Have there been any more sightings since?
Hope you get Ruby back safely soon x

Thanks so much to all of you who are helping.
I have had a conversation with the owners of Ruby this evening. It seems that she is not in her home area but had been with them where they work. So she will not be familiar with the area that she ran to. Apparently the lady who saw her this morning was close enough to see her collar but Ruby was so scared that she ran off again.
I have emailed the Doglost advice and suggested a few things to Ruby's owners. They have been postering all over the place and been sharing on Fbk so that's really good. The owners say Ruby does not like getting dirty (!) or her feet wet so they think she will stay away from fields etc although there is no guarantee of this. She will also need to find herself somewhere to have a drink after doing so much running so she may not behave as she usually would.
Hopefully some more sightings will come in and then we will have an idea which direction she is travelling. Stay safe Ruby.
BarneysMum
I have driven around the A30 side roads this evening and around Bagshot. Lots of people have now put the poster on facebook and many tweets going out of people in and around Bagshot. Fingers crossed she stays safe again tonight.
Saza
Just back from drive around sighting area. Sadly did not see her. Left posters in Premier Inn near A322 (had good smells coming form it!) and M&S petrol station shop. Hope she has found somewhere warm to spend the night.
NGJ
Had a good 90 min walk looking for ruby in Swinley forest in the area I thought see was heading late afternoon today. Good news she's been spotted near Penny hill pk,I know that area connects with the lookout so may be worthwhile getting some posters there. Fingers stil crossed and will be until you get her back.
HelperLost Pals Surrey Heath.LostPALS
We live not too far from there so will keep an eye out for her. Good luck bringing her home. Have everything crossed she returns very soon.
Jane
Thank you to everyone who has helped us try and find Ruby and offered words of support. A lady has just called to say that she saw Ruby at the American Golf roundabout heading towards Pennyhill Park, Bagshot. If anyone is out and about in that area or passes through on the way to/from work, please keep an eye out.
Saza
Driven up A322 to Bracknell Sainsbury's and left poster there. Also left one at vets in Bagshot. Saw posters that have been put up on A322 junctions. Fingers crossed for another sighting.

Poor Ruby. Not really my area, but I would suggest that you contact all the dog warden services in and around your area. I do not know where the police in that area would take her if they were able to catch her so definitely worth registering her as lost with Battersea Dogs and Cats Home and the wardens in neighbouring counties too. You can find the numbers on this page .. http://www.animalwardens.co.uk/lost-found-dogs-search/all-dog-warden-phone-numbers
Well done to all those who stopped and tried to catch her .. and the person in the Electricity van who reported her to the police.
Fingers crossed that Ruby is found very soon. Last edited: 2014-03-25 14:46:38 by Clarkey - Area Co-ordinator, East Sussex

Will keep my eyes peeled for Ruby when I'm out and about. Fingers crossed she is back home soon.

I have shared on twitter, hope you get some good news soon.
Saza
May be worth letting the Look Out in Bracknell know about Ruby and double check houses along the A322. And obviously posters up. Sorry, I can't help until this evening.
PaulaK
Hope to see some good news today on Ruby, I cant get over to that area in daylight until the weekend, will share with friends over there though. Stay safe Ruby x
AlisonH
Thanks for the information everybody. No more news as yet but hopefully we will get some more sightings today.
Saza
Hello NGJ. I was the puffing lady running up the hill! I too drove up to Coral Reef and the road towards Heatherwood but sadly didn't see her. An electricity van was pulled over and was reporting Ruby to the police. Did see a police car but can't be sure it was for her. Hope Ruby is ok. Can't stop thinking of her.
NGJ
Was one of the people who tried to catch Ruby, she headed off under the A30. Sorry couldn't follow our vechicles were blocking carriageway. I drove back to Bracknell along A322 to coral reef roundabout and back up to A30 but couldn't see her. I reckon she could have headed on road that leads upto heather wood roundabout past Berkshire golf course but can't be sure. Fingers crossed for her.

Hope she is found soon. Stay afe little girl.
cuzziee
shared on facebook, live in Camberley if there is anything I can do to help please let me know, hope she's back home soon x
Saza
I saw dog fitting Ruby's description running north from Bagshot traffic lights on southbound side of A322, at about 3pm today. She could have headed towards Bracknell or Ascot, as road forks near the spot she was last seen , or gone into nearby houses/woodland.(See dogs found posting) If anyone driving past has any more info as to direction she took, would be great to know. Car/lorry drivers tried to catch her, but she was scared and kept running. Do hope we have some good news soon for her owner.x
