Thanks everyone - Sally is back with her owner. Once again a major c*** up by H&F dog warden meant that Sally was 12 days in kennels and H&F made no attempt to contact owner who had given extensive details when they reported her lost. In the end a lovely lady who works at holding kennels (contractors)positively ID'd her from her purple feet and rang me. Eventually a man rang and said he had Sally. He had no knowledge of owners details and had only tried to contact previous owner on chip. I accused him of kidnapping Sally and stand by that - will make complaint to H&F. Exactly the same thing happened last year when H&F held another local dog, Louis, for a fortnight without contacting owner. All at the tax payers expense, not to mention distress - unnecessary suffering - caused to dogs and owners. Perhaps that's why they do it - to charge H&F a big kenelling bill. Disgraceful. Thank goodness for Dog Lost, you do a brilliant job - but these other idiots are getting paid by us!!

Are chip details up todate? I hope you find Sally soon. I love it when lurcher owners look for their lost dogs as so many are found and never claimed, such a disposable and easily "replaceable" breed and they are lovely dogs who are often "owned" by the wrong "type" of people. Check with the Mayhew as a chipped Yorkie from W5 was found there and was up for rehoming!

Hi darkmoon, sorry it wasn't Sally. Any chance of a photo makes it easier for cross posting. Also alerts can go out to local helpers.

If the owner could perhaps visit the Traveller site under the Westway (end of Latimer Road) and ask if they perhaps have seen her. They're pretty good at helping and approachable. I'll look out and pass the word round when walking on the Scrubs this eve

Please can a photo be added to site.

Sally went missing on Saturday and her owner has only just heard about Dog Lost. Sally is microchipped and I will soon know the name of her original owner. We are certain someone has picked her up - lovely looking bitch - as extensive searching has been in vain. she has hazel eyes.
