- oh, Frank, so sorry. Your so-called owners should have given you care sooner. RIP
- 2014-04-07 21:30 Unknown
- GillyP. Thanks you for giving this poor dog a name. Thanks Bo, for all you have done for Frank, and all those involved in his care. He had love, and affection at the end from all the lovely people who cared for him. His selfish so called "Owners" deserted him when he needed them most. RIP+ Frank, and have fun at the bridvge with Ottis who has also gone to the bridge. Lennox will be waiting to play too. Can someone pass the tissues please? Run free Frankx(((HUGS)))

- I really can assure you if anything could of been done for Frank (as GillyP has named him) our lady D/Warden would have gone all out to help him.
She adores and does her absolute best for all the dogs that go into her care.
I to am very sad to see he has gone to the bridge.
Now pain free and at peace Bless you hansome Frank xxxx - 2014-04-07 16:57 wibble58

- So upset to hear this.....always a very difficult decision to make but I guess vets have to make a professional decision as to the suffering he may have been enduring and the quality of life thereafter. Yes I agree though councils working in this environment on behalf of the public should be honest /open and explain their reasons. It must of been very upsetting for the dog warden too xx god bless old Staffie Frank xx

- Bless him. RIP little man. He looks like a Frank to me. So I am calling him Frank. xxx Hopefully we might get i real name x
- 2014-04-07 14:09 ClaireC
- Sad to read but at least in the end he knew love and compassion and treated with the greatest respect which is a lot more than the owner did. RIP lovely old man xx
- 2014-04-07 14:06 Unknown
- Bo. Thanks for the update: so sad. At least he is not suffering any more discomfort, which was caused by his so called "Owner" failing to meet his needs through neclect. Goodnight, old chap, sleep tight, and have fun with the other "Rainbow babies" now you are like a young puppy again. You did not deserve this. Hopefully your so called "Owner" will get their comeuppance. RIP+ God blessx A~~~Candle~~~burns for you. Now an Angel in Heaven. CAN WE GIVE THIS POOR DOG A NAME NOW PLEASE?

- So sorry to read this. Bo sometimes we cannot help them all but be safe in the knowledge that the crossposting you have done has saved so many and reunited many others....You must be gutted but you must keep doing what you are doing.....

- I'm so sorry Esther - but its terribly news as I've had to update as below.
- 2014-04-07 12:19 Esther
- Thanks for that Bo, so pleased he is safely in rescue
- 2014-04-07 09:34 Bo
- SAD NEWS via email just now - despite the council saying he had a rescue space earlier this morning - this is directly from the dog warden;
"I'm afraid it was sad news for our lovely Staffie.
Due to his medical condition, which I presume had gone untreated for
some time as he was bleeding constantly from his rear end, he was put to
sleep to prevent further suffering.
Had his condition been less severe I'm sure he would be in a loving new
home as he had a lovely temperament, I particularly loved him.
Thank you again for asking after our dogs.
With Kind Regards Viv"
I'm sorry to be the bearer of this awful news but at least we know now. Last edited: 2014-04-07 12:17:57 by Bo - 2014-04-06 17:08 Unknown
- To be honest I thought "Sorted" sounded a bit suspicious, I mean that could mean anything. Someone should have made what "Sorted" meant more clear. Of course he could have been pts because of health problems. In any event they should tell the truth. Keep us posted.

- Yes Helen i am also suspicious as they always state in a RESCUE or REHOMED or in KENNElS or FOSTERED but they haven't in this case this needs to be followed up , I have a gut feeling because of his condition and a vet needing to treat him that he has beenPTS I hope I am wrong , but if no answer I will ring as well xxxxLast edited: 2014-04-06 11:43:26 by Carol

- Helen - I emailed them on Friday with his picture asking if he had been rehomed so hopefully they will reply tomorrow to clarify what happened to him. I rang them Wed last week and had the same answer that Misty had in that he had been "sorted" and i said please confirm he has a rescue space and they said "yes". I still had a bit of a niggle about it so thought I would get an email response to a specific 'is he rehomed' query. To be fair - the council were very worried about his future so I'm just hoping he got that rescue space.
- 2014-04-05 22:50 Helen
- Hate to sound suspicious but did the dog warden say more specifically what had happened to him? Was told by another dog warden that a dog that I was worrying about had been 'sorted' but it turned out that they meant that they no longer needed help as it had been PTS.

- Really hope, and pray that this poor chap`s owner claims, or someone can take him in. Hope his inflammation is better, and that he is getting some affection in kennels because of his stress. Paws xd for a positive result here. Keep us posted please.
