The Black Lab X dog is thought to be crossed with an alsation and not mine, however, it IS someone's dog, and i hope they find him very soon. He is being looked after and is safe and healthy. Also, Black Lab dog seen yesterday, was no caught, but was wearing 2 collars, a webbed collar and a Bio-Flow collar, if this sounds familiar, let Doglost know!!! xLxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

How are you doing, any further news on this man, Dont forget that if you have to transfer money into someones account then you will need name and bank details, somehow sounds like a scam, please always ask Jayne before doing anything. I agree with Sheba ,if someone has your dog and thinks they may make money from him , they will hang on to it, ChrisxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi LaurenAyres, it sounds very dodgy so don't do anything in haste. I would suggest contacting Jayne for advice. If this man has your dog, he'll certainly be in touch again demanding money. Good luck in your search for Scooby. xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I got an email this morning saying someone found my dog, as i also registered on lostandfound.co.uk i said there was a small reward available if my dog was returned safely so it emant more people saw my bulletin, however, now this person says they won't give my dog back to me unless i trasnfer money into their account, and then they will return Scooby to me... i don't know what to do, my first reaction was ok, i'll transfer ?20 or something and then say i would give them a little bit more when i get my dog back, but the more i thought about it, the more i realised that all i have is this man's email address, no name, no number and no other information. he did mention lost-doggies.com so i went on the site and my dog is not up there in the found section. i don't kow what to do!!!! please someone help me!!! im going out of my mind!!!! x LaurenLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Don't give up , try the newpapers again. As Chris (marshend) suggests, try leaflets in doors yourself if postie won't can't without lots of money exchanging hands. A little tip, reduce the size of the poster to A5 and get two to an A4 page. Its a very distinct photo so should be fine smaller. Most print shops will do it for you. No news so far guys . . . there have been less labs found in the past 2 weeks, so it's proabaly a bit slow for every lab owner looking for their dog . . . Network rail have said that there were no sightings or injuries involfing dogs along the local train routes since the end of June, so at least the fear of someone injuring my dog with a train has gone for now! i am absolutely certain he is out there, i know he is with anotherfamily, whether they are looking after him or he has somehow slipped through the system and been rehomed, i know he is safe, i just hope whoever has him at the moment, finds this page and gets in touch!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I suspect he is probably close and someone has him indoors, try more and more posters in local area. When Rex was found in wales owner had been walking past him every day till someone got greedy and wanted the reward money, he was 1 street away!!!Scooby may be closer than you think. Do fliers to put through peoples doors and start from your street and work out , put" large cash reward" on them in big letters. ( you dont have to give them it, once you have him) ask the local kids to help and work out in a spiral, Hope hes home soon , Chrisx Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have you tried the postmen and also local newsagents. Maybe if you give them a little something for their time they will put them in the delivery bags? Postmen will get to know the dogs on the rounds and any new ones. Unfortunately you will get calls that turn out to be nothing, but on the positive side it means that Scooby is being looked for and thought about. Heres hoping some news will come soon on his whereabouts. Sue xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

How can a dog be missing for 7 weeks and not have been seen ANYWHERE???? it is near on impossible, seen as i have checked with all the right authorities and there have been no accidents with dogs, and no reported injured or dead aniamls at vets or police stations, which means someone out there has seen or is looking after my Scooby, lpease let me know where he is, and I will come and get him! i miss my dog and want him home. it's so upsetting that i can't see him anymore....Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Well, last Tues or Thurs, the Maidenhead advertiser cams out, with my advert in it about Scooby. I have had quite a few leads in the past three weeks but none have turned out to be Scooby. I just got off the phone to a woman in Manchester with a black male lab around 1-2 years old and surprise surprise, it was not my poor little Scoobs. i did find out that the dog on the found pages, which is at the top, had an old owner from yorkshire, used to be called Eric, and was microchipped, but the new owners didnt microchip him. He was found on JULY 9TH so if anyone knows who's dog this could be, let them know and tell them to call dog lost quoting number 877. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hello, I am the owner of Pippin who has recently gone missing. Just to let you know how sorry I am that the dog in Oxford was not Scooby and to let you know that we are actively searching for Pippin and will look out for Scooby too. These labradors will be found eventually and we shall all celebrate when they are back. I shall let you know immediately if we have any luck. I spoke to finder of young black lab finder North DL2 but no luck, it was another poor lost dog... who ever has lost him will hopefully soon find that he is safe and a lovely woman has been keeping him safe for a few weeks.... However!!!!!!!! A black male entire lab has been handed into the oxford warden and he matches my dog's description!!! i am hoping it is him!!! only, the offices aren't open until moday morning to speak to the warden and find out if it IS my lost dog!!! he was handed in late on 02/08, and i just received a phone call from lostlabs saying i should speak to them as they think it may be my little SCOOBY! FINGERS CROSSED GUYS, I WANT MY DOGGY!!!! Lauren xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I don't think he is in Dorney Village - I know most of the people there and there is only one lab at the moment I think. The only other place that way I can think to look is the puppy farm place in Dorney. They have labs.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Well, what the family usually does is let both of our dogs into the big back garden during the day while people are out at school and at work, it is secure and they stay outside until everyone is home and then they are exercised, walked, played with etc, but when my mum returned home on the evening he went missing, scooby didn't come running from the end of the garden. she thought he was playing so she went to find him and found he had dug underneath the back fence and escaped out onto the railway bank which is near the river. he obviously went exploring, but the whole family have been along the tracks either way and he was nowhere to be found, he could have easily gone down the river, or Joe's Folly (whom i have informed of his disappearance btw, thnx) but there have been no police incidents with him or any reported accidents/dead dogs, so im assuming a family has found him or he gained some friends on his travels and they haven't brought him home yet. i have tried all the local wardens, they are on the look out, the police know, and all the homes in Berks and Bucks have his details so if found, they can't rehome him. i know it's been 4weeks since we saw him and i feared that having been in a shelter for 7days, he was rehomed, but that is not the situation. all there is to do, is keep looking, calling, postering and waiting i guess... it's very hard and upsetting. i just want him home safely.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Yup, that was me. I have put posters around the Jubilee River, and Dorney Common, and in the garage, and also given some posters to a neighbour who owns the pub and she will put up a poster there and also at the stables. Loads of weekend walkers come and also people seem to use the village as a commuting route on bikes. Do you know where abouts Scooby was heading when he ran off? Also have you tried Joe's Folly in Taplow? They are a kennels but they don't have an email address to send a poster to.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
