- Clare. I think Animal Wardens are legally bound ny law to make sure that a stray/found dog is kept for SEVEN days before being put up for rehoming, or humanely be pts.

- Yes Janiejewel perhaps youre right. It seems very random in each area as to how long they are kept for before being rehomed. I know it must depend on how full they are at the time but sometimes they seem to be rehomed before the 7 days and other times weeks. Just such a shame if the owners are away for a few weeks and have no idea their dogs are missing until its to late. Is the 7 days actually law or just guidelines does anyone know?

- Have they been adopted or have owners reclaimed them :-( xx

- Caroline. You are right, the law should be changed, to help put a stop to overbreeding. Clare. Perhaps they were sen by someone who gave then the "Sympathy vote", and perhaps had to wait for home checks before they could be adopted?

- How irresponsivle is this? We are forever hearing about too many Staffies, and cross Staffies being bred, and we see this. This is idiocy. More words fail me. Grrrr.... Grrrr.... Grrrr.... Are these people just out to make a "Quick buck"?Last edited: 2014-04-04 12:44:52
