- Just read the local newspaper article. I think the farmer has pretty much incriminated himself with his comments. Hopefully the police will look at this again now.

- I am so sorry that you are having to deal with this as well as the loss of your dear Misty....stay strong for Mr B xx
I hope the explanation by New Judge at the bottom of this article is of use http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Law/Question1282209.html - 2014-04-18 06:38 Dilly Dax
- I hope the article gets highlighted in your local press and that people will come forward to ensure this individual receives his just rewards. The whole event is sickening and beggars belief. The trauma in seeing that happen to your dear little dachshunds is unimaginable. Frankly, at times like this, "the law is an ass" rings true.

- Update from Facebook
"The next instalment of the Misty saga will hopefully be in the Cambs Times this week........both my side and the farmer. Please be open minded and see whose version of events seem more plausible.....if it wasn't for the tragedy surrounding this, with Misty being mown down and killed I would laugh at the comments this vile, cowardly, sick and evil man(meant generically) this idiot has made.
Please read the Cambs Times, share this request with as many people as you can then if anyone has experienced similar experiences to what I have described, please please contact the police or the RSPCA, as both at present have stated they cannot proceed with any prosecution do to LACK OF EVIDENCE.......my dead Misty isn't enough apparently according to the Crown Prosecution......after Friday I will happily answer any questions about the reported events...I have no idea how much of the initial report will be edited, but I have a copy of the draft.......
Watch this space....and I apologise for any photo of me that may be published"

- Update from Facebook today
"I can give all of you, who have shown compassion and passed on your best wishes about the incident which resulted in Misty's death and Mr Bojangles getting run over, that at this time the crown prosecution have decided there isn't enough evidence to pursue to prosecution............apparently the farmer who drove at me 3 times, threatened to shoot us and then mowed down my 2 dogs, has given a statement to the police saying something to the effect that I assaulted him and he drove off in fear of his life, which resulted in him mowing down my dogs.....some 160 yards from where he started driving from. As it has been pointed out by the police it is his word against mine???!!!!!! However the police have stated they will be canvasing areas of Manea to see if this farmer has done similar before, ie driving at people and their pets, reckless driving both on public footpaths and the highway and if he has threatened anyone with firearms. If you wish to make an anonymous statement to the police then please contact them or speak to the police officers which are meant to be canvassing in Manea over the next week or so."

- If he has been reported then best not to name or have any views which could jeopardise any prosecution.Await police action and hope that others may also come forward to strengthen the case.
If it goes to court then all details will be in public domain and often local papers will pick up o this and at that point he will be named and shamed. - 2014-04-06 04:19 Teddys Mum - Area Volunteer, West London
- This farmer is clearly dangerous and urgent action needs to be taken. He is either unstable with a mental health issue or just plain evil. Either way he needs to be removed from society.
I am so sorry about little Misty but very pleased you have Mr. Bogangles home I do hope he and you recover from this awful incident quickly. Sending healing thoughts. - 2014-04-05 23:21 Sherlock- Area Co-ordinator & Police Liaison - Avon & South Gloucestersh
- To obtain a firearm certificate, the police must be satisfied that a person has "good reason" to own each firearm, and that they can be trusted with it "without danger to the public safety or to the peace". Under Home Office guidelines, firearms certificates are only issued if a person has legitimate sporting, collecting, or work-related reasons for ownership.

- So there was no danger of these 2 lovely little dogs worrying anyone let alone animals on his farm I am so very sad this makes it even worse no excuses :( Last edited: 2014-04-05 20:02:50 by snoopdog

- The farmer has (from what I can interpret) been reported to the authorities - the farmers name is on Facebook and obviously I can't post it on here but what I can say is the farm concerned seems to be crops only from my googling of the company concerned. No farm animals whatsoever. The farmer also has previous form with killing dogs and is well known in the small community for this appalling type of behaviour. Last edited: 2014-04-05 19:51:15 by Bo

- As a previous young farmer there are certain codes and countryside codes of practice that all farmers need to follow and abide by including the necessary requirements and satisfactory medical and reference procedures to satisfy The Police Dept that legalise and issue these gun licences to people who want to apply for a firearms licence .... I would suggest you tell the police re the threats he made both verbal and his physical threat and also that you want to highlight the risk to them for the record that this individual is out of control and his behaviour is disturbing ... I just hope that Bojangles recovers from his ordeal and I am so very sorry that you lost your other dog due to this manic and totally unacceptable behaviour and so very tragic outcome.. :'((. Sending you big hugs and healing thoughts xxxxLast edited: 2014-04-06 22:53:30 by snoopdog

- Years ago a farmer threatened to shoot my dogs and they were on the lead so I told him what to do and he threatened to shoot me. Fortunately his neighbour heard the commotion. I reported it to the Police and they went round to visit him and he was warned that if there were any more complaints he would get his Gun Licence taken off him. He was horrible and it's a shame because there are some lovely farmers around where I live now xx
- 2014-04-05 17:11 snoopdog
- I would speak to the police especially if "the farmer" was pointing a firearm at you and your dogs also if he threatened you verbally then that's an offence in itself ...the sheer fact that he drove a tractor / vehicle at you and continued to persue you then he needs the book throwing at him...I am so sorry you lost Misty I am devastated for you and indeed appalled and quite frankly disturbed that anyone would do this... Get the police to come and take a statement from you and question if the said farmer should be in possession of a firearm under Mental Health grounds and in the interest of public safety .. He needs an assessment by the MH Team and possibly a psychiatrist ...! Hugs and healing thoughts to you and Bojangles lots of love and run free at rainbow bridge MIsty xxxxLast edited: 2014-04-05 17:12:51 by snoopdog

"Some good news to report, Mr Bojangles has been found shaken but hopefully not too badly hurt. Regrettably he has lost his bestest friend, in Misty. Taken by a sick twisted individual, a farmer who is a law unto himself. At this time I cannot make his name public, however everyone in Manea knows of him as this is not an isolated incident. He tried to run me down twice, threatened to shoot the dogs, but was disarmed by me, then took it upon himself to drive after my dogs for about 160 yards before mowing them down. A cowardly and unprovoked attack. we will wait to see how the British judicial system works to see if he even gets procescuted. Thankyou to all of you who have been kind with your messages and offers of help, I have been touched by your kindness."

- Its a pity the farmer can't be named and shamed. I am shocked at what the farmer has done. 2 little dogs probably just having a little play and he runs them over with his tractor. Hopefully the police and RSPCA have been informed. Oh and I would contact the local press. I am so sorry. xxxLast edited: 2014-04-04 13:31:31 by Timmy's Mummy

- What an unbelievable act of wanton cruelty! That is horrendous. I really hope the police follow this up and that someone locks him up and throws away the key!!
What an awful thing to happen, I can't believe it!
Best wishes for Bojangles recovery, and so so sorry about Misty. - 2014-04-04 12:48 Sherlock- Area Co-ordinator & Police Liaison - Avon & South Gloucestersh
- As a Justice Professional , you should make a complaint to the Police as well as the RSPCA to see what criminal act(s) have been committed. It does not depend on the number of witnesses. You also have an injured dog...this is a serious incident that should be followed up in the interests of Justice
I am so very sorry to hear of your loss but relieved that you have Mr Bojangles safe .God bless Mistyx - 2014-04-04 12:38 Unknown
- Sorry to see this. What a dreadful thing to do. I hope this farner is charged with a deliberate act of cruelty. I know that a farmer is permitted to shoot a dog that is frightening his livestock, but this beggars belief. Presume it depends on number of witnesses? Sending Mr Bojangles thoughts for his full recovery. GET WELL SOON ((((HUGS))). Sorry about Misty. night, night, sleep tight Misty, and have fun at the bridge. RIP+ God blessx A~~~Candle~~~burns for your sister Misty. Hope this farmer gets his comeuppance very soon.
