Hi Sarah, unfortunately 'Cookie' at NAWT isn't Jazzer. See posting 4/May where owners went with breeder to double check as he's very similar. Thank you for continued efforts, we're all still keeping hopeful.
Sarah
Might be worth checking out this one at NAWT Cornwall if not checked already.

Tx red alerts!
Red Alert
A Lurcher described as dark grey is on the council list today found in Helston not a million miles from Falmouth. I have therefore alerted Jazzers owners to this. The colours do not match but further investigation can do no harm

Any chance found 71299 OX11 is Jazzer, long way and dog looks in too good a condition to have been out on it's own any length of time!

That one has now been checked out & it isn't Jazzer :(
It has been reunited with it's owner.

Good to hear of new sighting. Fingers crossed it is Jazzer. The team at McDonalds have several Duty Managers so have previously held posters locally in staff room, should they see dog on grounds or nearby. Is anyone nearby to pass on, also maybe to the car dealership up the hill and maybe Sainsbury management?
DogLostMe N My Girl - Administrative Volunteer
Desperation calls for desperate measures. Might help, www.soundboard.com/sb/ has a recording of a distressed rabbit (food), copy it and play it from a car, certainly gets my sleeping greyhounds attention !! Sounds as if the boy is hungry and seems to be roving around at night and probably early morning.

Message from Facebook: We have a possible sighting of Jazzer last night, running across the road near McDonalds and up the hill towards Sainsburys. Shahnaz, who very kindly gave us the tip, tried to follow, but he was too quick. Shahnaz is fairly certain it was him and this is almost the exact same place where the last 100% sure sighting of him was on 6th April. We know he has been gone a long time, but it's great to know people still care enough to be keeping an eye out for him. Please don't stop!

I keep checking, good to know sightings are still being reported. I accidentally pinked a comment in my excitement but put it back again now, sorry HP.

Jazzer is still missing after 6 weeks! Admin have sent refresher alerts to local postcodes 'helpers' in the hope to re-engage all to keep looking for him. Chance he may have gone further afield outside of Penryn trying to find his way home.
Please continue to share. Thank you!

Hi, I posted this to the Cornwall groups but I suspect it's you who have listed a dog found on the AS site but just to make absolutely sure nothing's missed I feel I do need you to check. Animal Search Ref AFP183702Last edited: 2014-05-07 22:00:26 by Sarah

Jazzer is still out there after 4.5 weeks. Please if you see posters up locally, use a marker pen to update them that he's still MISSING.
Believe he's still near College Reservoir/Univ. Campus grounds, so please keep an eye out! Thank you
HP
The dog found at Penrose and handed in to Helston vet is not Jazzer, though he is very similar and according to the breeder may be related! The dog picked up by the taxi company is not a brindle lurcher, though it is a similar size and shape. We really appreciate all the messages telling us about these dogs, especially the Helston one, as it shows that people are still thinking about Jazzer.
Tiana
Hi, unfortunately Jazzer is still missing - potential new sighting Penmere Hill, Falmouth close to original point where he went missing. Two similar lurchers picked up locally (1) by Falmouth taxi firm and (2) another near Penrose - Helston Lake/Porthleven are not him - awaiting their owners to claim them. Strangely the latest one was checked out at Vets and similar in colouring/age but owners have confirmed its not Jazzer so search continues. See the facebook link as before for more details.Last edited: 2014-05-04 14:13:20 by Tiana

Hi. I've been tweeting about Jazzer and someone has sent me a link from the West Briton on Friday. A taxi firm have picked up a Lurcher type dog wondering around Falmouth. I don't think it's the same dog but if someone could take a look?

Hi, There is a Lurcher on 'please look out for these missing dogs in Cornwall" found on Penrose walk, looks similar, taken to local vets.
Tiana
Until we can confirm he's staying at one place, no point setting up feeding station. Also remember he's used to hunting so has plenty of choice around the woods/campus/reservoir nearby. Getting a few more potential sightings coming through, owner doing a great job being very persistent and updating the Facebook page set up - reminder for those that want link: https://www.facebook.com/Jazzermissing
Lesley
Great to hear he's still in the same area.
Unknown
Could you not set up a feeding station at the school?
Tiana
This is good news as the Facilities Team at the School ('Penryn College') are aware of Jazzer and will call us if they spot him too. All looking promising lets keep fingers crossed.
DogLostMoogie - Area Volunteer, Cornwall
Message on Facebook from owner: Just heard from a pupil at Penryn school, who has spotted a dog "exactly like your dog" (Jazzer) in Penryn School grounds today at about 3.15 and on a few previous occasions last week. The boy had seen lots of posters and is sure it is Jazzer.
Tiana
Moogie hope its a true sighting as Jazzer could be making his way back 'home' to original point where he escaped from. This Cresent is not far from owners road and he could have come back across the fields from Hillhead where we searched. Will keep fingers crossed.
DogLostMoogie - Area Volunteer, Cornwall
Message from owner on Facebook:
A man just called to say he may have seen a dog answering Jazzer's description in Berryman Crescent (Swanvale) yesterday, late afternoon. It sounds very vague, but I'm off out to put up more posters.
Bumping due to possible sighting
Tiana
Friendly and helpful University & College Campus Security staff alerted, hopefully will call us if they see him on grounds or on CCTV.
Tiana
We're only 80% sure he's on the campus at the moment, so until we have clear area identified it would be pointless. Hoping on more sightings now students are back today, so more eyes on the ground.
Lesley
I've just read a bit on Flys page about using a recording of an injured rabbit to bring the dog out of hiding.Would this be worth trying with Jazzer as he is a hunter?
DogLostMax - Area Co-ordinator - Cornwall & Area Volunteer - Durham & Ireland
Oops so sorry, I missed it again, completely slipped my mind :( I hadn't logged on since yesterday afternoon, so sorry.
Hope something positive comes from your hard work.

Just returned from the search. Thank you to Angie and Lesley who came. Posters up and talked to lots of people around the area and Uni Campus. He was spotted by someone we spoke to on Tuesday who saw a dog unattended running at speed towards the campus at around 9am. Hopefully we'll get more sightings now posters are up.
DogLostMoogie - Area Volunteer, Cornwall
I'll meet you there at 10am Lesley
Lesley
I cant get there before 10.00 can I meet you somewhere?
DogLostMoogie - Area Volunteer, Cornwall
Bumping due to another search tomorrow of the area
Tiana
Another group search on tomorrow morning 'Good Friday' meet 9am near Penryn Campus on Greenwood Road, near footpath/wooden bridge across to woods if interested? Please come join us if you can.
DogLostMoogie - Area Volunteer, Cornwall
Postered train station, Penryn athletic ground, Penryn campus and college and a few around town.
Tiana
Just back from another look for Jazzer, around Polwithian Road. There's a pathway from Greenwood Road down to the woods, so possibly using that? The dog spotted on Monday morning may have been a puppy, spoke to gentleman who thought it was more black/dark than brindle. But dog owner himself so now will keep look out for us. Also met lovely lady who is walking area daily with her dogs looking for him. Hoping for more validated sightings soon.
DogLostMoogie - Area Volunteer, Cornwall
Just seen on Facebbok this message: There is a loose lurcher around the university campus/Greenwood road area of Penryn (he was spotted 9.30am Monday) but this dog was grey and brown.
DogLostMoogie - Area Volunteer, Cornwall
Just contacted Penryn College and Penryn Uni Campus who were very helpful. Caretaker is going to get back to me and I'm emailing them a poster and they will put about 10 up around the college notice boards. I will try to get there to poster outside the college, but if anyone else can that would be greatLast edited: 2014-04-14 13:31:46 by Moogie - Area Volunteer, Cornwall

Clever boy if he used underpass, come on Jazzer there's a lovely warm bed at home.

Is the college shut for the holiday? You should be able to contact the care taking team to ask them to look out for him and for access if required?
DogLostMoogie - Area Volunteer, Cornwall
Thanks Tiana.
It's possible he's around kernick ind est, penryn college and the woods. Lots of fields around the college
Tiana
Believe he may have used the underpass (from College Reservoir) and followed stream down to that estate. Hoping to poster more later and have another look for him.
DogLostMoogie - Area Volunteer, Cornwall
Lurcher spotted by itself wearing collar polwithen road penryn 8.40 this morning.
DogLostMoogie - Area Volunteer, Cornwall
Thank you Tiana and helpers. It's a shame more didn't turn up for the search.
I've just returned from postering Trebah and Glendurgen gardens, Budock Vean Hotel up to Port Navas where I ran out of posters. There are posters around Constatine & Gweek but more are needed so if you can, please print off a poster
Tiana
Disappointingly only 2 others turned up to help with search so limited to area we could cover, but was good to meet owners and we feel positive spreading the word to more locals and farmers around the College Reservoir and fields right of Hillhead Road, which he may be resting within - as has water, food and shelter in abundance with all the outbuildings nearby. Just hoping to get more precise sightings soon and hope he keeps save until then.
Come on Jazzer show yourself....you have a lovely family waiting for you.Last edited: 2014-04-12 14:37:18 by Tiana

Reported Possible sighting on Monday on the footpath that goes through Tregonhay Farm (Between Hillhead Road (Kergilliack) and College Lake.
Tiana
Search party back on for tomorrow morning (Saturday 12th) 10am-noon.
Meet outside Argal Farm Shop, (Top of Hillhead, Kergilliack)nr. Falmouth TR11 5PE.
Please join if you are free.
Focus back on original area of sightings mostly around Kergilliack and possibly down to Budock Water - as he may be in the woods. Keeping options open hoping for more sightings and liaising with Mawnan Smith lady at same time.
DogLostMoogie - Area Volunteer, Cornwall
A dog matching his description is being fed by someone in Mawnan Smith, so it looks like he is trying to make his way home. New owner, old owner heading that way this evening. Search is probably off for Saturday as it's best to keep the area quiet for the minute
Lesley
Hi I can help with search on Saturday morning. Where are we meeting and what time?

Has been spotted running along Hill Head, Penryn heading towards the bypass. New and old owners out now looking
DogLostMoogie - Area Volunteer, Cornwall
I've just spoken to owners. Jazzer has been rehomed with them only yesterday and he managed to escape. He is originally from Helston and his old owners are also helping.
There have been several sightings of him around Falmouth but has recently been seen heading away from town and into the countryside towards Helston...possibly trying to find his way back. Lots of posters up in town but have advised to poster along the route to Helston.
