Good boy Chocky for eating, please continue. Good luck for journey North and be good boy with your dressings. Do please let us know how he gets on in the future back "home". I'm sure we would all love to know. xx

Chocky had his first night home from vets last night although went back today for more treatment and will go tomorrow morning too. He then has to be seem by vet every second day until all well, he needs to continue going to have his wounds flushed and his dressings changed, he is staying with familiar dogs at the moment and growled at one them when they went to eat his tea, he then ate it all up, if all is well tomorrow Chocky will be heading up the motorway home, as can imagine this has been anything but a holiday for his owner she will message me Friday to let me know how he's doing, as she has things to sort out. She would like to once again thank everyone for their help and concern.

So very pleased to read this latest update on the little man. So pleased he is heading in the right direction of health and of course home to Scotland once again. Keep up the good work of improving little man xx

Brilliant news, after his long visit home yesterday and returning to the vets overnight, today he was allowed home, the vets are concerned that he hasn't eaten very much, he has to go back tomorrow to be checked and as he has a long trip back up to Scotland they want to be sure he is fit for travelling, the owner is going to be given some training on how to tend to his dressings etc, all being well he will be discharged from the vets here on Wednesday and transferred to his vets at his home, so lets keep our fingers crossed that he is well enough to travel and get back to his own surroundings and comforts.Last edited: 2014-04-14 18:53:19 by serinne

CHocky went home for 2 hours yesterday, he managed to drink some milk but wasn't really interested in food, overnight they gave some food through syringe, When his owner picked him up this morning, he was very happy to see her and is allowed out with her until 5pm if everything is alright, he is currently sat in his basket enjoying the sun having just eaten some fish and had a walk around, seems yesterday really boosted him and today he's showing a bit more energy. The owner is so grateful about all the support she is getting and thanks you all for your concern, it has helped her through a bit of a rough road,

Spoke to owner's friend who has said that Choky is still not out of the woods as yet having been attacked by a GSD - poor little dog. Still not eating, but owner goes in every day to see him and tries to encourage him with food. He may be allowed to come "home" locally for a couple of hours on Sunday to see if this gives him a bit of a boost. The owner was only visiting from Scotland when this incident happened but is staying locally with a friend as it is suggested that he may still have to spend a further week in the vet hosp. At night he still has to wear a compression bandage. Will update when I have some more news or Serinne will. Everybody keep their fingers crossed for this little man to recover quickly. xxLast edited: 2014-04-12 19:33:36 by ClaireC

Saw the owner this morning, had a good night, is still on a drip for fluids, spent the night in a compression bandage which seems to have done some good, not out of the woods yet but is on antibiotics, just got to hope doesn't get pneumonia, they have taken the catheta out, and he having little walks around the garden, owner received some choccie dog biscuits today and is going to try him with one this afternoon when she goes and visits and him.

This poor dog had been extremely poorly through puncture wounds and loss of protein out of his body. Still dodgy but an improvement since last night when he was very poorly. Still in vets hosp.
