- I have circulated to petsearchers and other contacts. Hoping maybe that someone has taken her in and don't know the circumstances of her loss, I doubt she'll still be running free after all this while....

- Thank you Alison, there have been no reported sightings since Thurs. Is there any chance of sharing this to co-ordinators in surrounding counties in case she has ran further afield?

- I have added the new phone number to the page. Poor little dog hope it can be found soon. I did text Shelley on the 9th mentioning that a search party could be organised if she would be willing to meet helpers but she never replied.

- Owner Shelley bought the dog last sunday for herself. But as dog has gone missing shes decided to go back to america. A long complicated story. Bottom line is the previous owner is frantically looking for her and willing to take her back.. The phone number being used on here will be disconnected tonight so new phone number for contact is..07557905313.
This dog has not had the appropriate help for new owner to be found.. we need volunteers to look - 2014-04-11 19:31 Chi lover
- Bit confused by the last post, has the owner had this litte dog for a few days and because she is missing, decided to go back to America or was she bought as a companion for elderly parents because she is going to America?

- Maisys name was only change from Dotty on Saturday 5th April when sold to Shelley, the new owner. The big concern is Shelley has decided as the dog is missing to go back and live in America and if dog turns up in the meantime she wil give to elderly parents with health problems which is how the dog went missing in first place. My concern is this dog will have no one looking for her soon.
The dog was bought as a companion so Shelley could settle in her new home, now the dog is missing she says nothing to stay for. I have known her for 18 years and know the true story to this. she told me she put posters up but people looking haven't seen even one. I wouldnt even return to breeder who sold with no microchip and no homecheck. - 2014-04-10 22:14 shelley

- thanks alison for your advice... i didnt chase after maisy .. perhaps my comment "before i could catch her "was misleading.....i did as i should have done dropping to knees etc but had a lady from security at a pet food factory who was walking with me as she had seen her first and i believe maisy was unsure of this lady....going back for one last look in a while and they it will have to be morning .... i would be grateful of anyone who could help searching in the morning

- Shelley if you see her again please DO NOT chase after her or shout it will only make her run away. She is now in flight mode and will not stop. If seen you need to drop to the floor with your back to her and only glance sideways to see where she is and what she is doing. By keeping still you will give her a chance to pick up your scent and she may approach you but if she doesn't try whimpering like a baby as this often gets the dogs attention. If you have some treats on you very gently throw one in her direction but still keep looking away. You can gradually throw the treats a little closer to you and try to draw her closer. Be patient she is frightened and will take time to calm down enough to come to you.
