- I'm afraid this dog is not an elkhound. Elkhound Rescue have been in touch with the kennels and he is an akita or akita cross. It might help him better if you reclassify him.Last edited: 2014-06-19 20:23:34 by Raidersmummy

- Had reply, apparently owners have not responded to letter through the door. The dog is up for rehoming as of today and kennels are finding it hard to control him. Page will be updated with info shortly.

Please ensure that you notify your local Dog Warden and the local Police Station - in Scotland you MUST inform your local Police Station and if possible contact the Dog Warden also.
The found dog may have a Microchip or a Tattoo - please have the dog scanned and checked for a tattoo at a vet's so that owners may be contacted as soon as possible.
