The Cotswold Show is at Cirencester Park (Glos) on the 7th and 8th of July and there are many BACS gundog events on both days so lots of Springers will be there, so could be well worth a visit.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

FOUND . English Springer Spaniel A liver and white Springer Spaniel was found on the A415 road at Kingston Bagpuize on Sunday 17th September. He is an entire male and not docked. We think he is about 2 years old, but he could be older. He seems fit and well and is wearing a black leather collar. He has liver and white markings to his face but his body is predominantly white. He has a noticable dip to his back and has obviously been trained as he is sociable and sits when asked. We believe that he may have been stolen from someone at some point as he was seen to be dumped onto the side of the road by people in a blue people carrier. The police have been contacted and we will contact the local dog warden tomorrow to check if he has been micro-chipped. worth checking out - this is message left on www.lostyourpet.net x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

no news yet. Poster anywhere you think, he could be anywhere in the time he has been away, so lets hope he's trying to find his way home. Will do what I can to check posters in Highfield Road area. If anyone else is around that way and could make sure they are still up I'd be grateful. Sue xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks collie mad, I was beginning to wonder where everybody was. But its holiday time and it will be quiet. Glad to know most vets are helpful, better still when they all are and scan as a matter of course. You wonder why they do the job at times! Thanks again and to anybody out there who doesn't post, but put up posters, thanks to you all to. Sue xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have postered guildford vets also rokers animal feed store will do the animal feed store in Normandy tomorrow sorry but my computer has been un pluged for the last week so have only just got back in touch I have found some of the vets very helpful but one I found in Guildford just didn't wont to know said they were to busy to put up all these posters (and they didn't have time to scan every dog that came in either) but in one or two of the others I found not only do they put up posters but when they take one down to make room for a more recent one they have a book that they keep records of all missing dogs in I was pleased to find that they still had a record of our Blue after 10 months I do hope this lad is found soon Jacky Blue MumLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

OK, finally got to Monty's area......... Helpers a bit thin on the ground or very quiet? Three I count on here, come on you lot, please! I have plastered Puttenham, Highfield Road area and the road itself as far as i could go. Seale road from Puttenhan to Seale, round past the golf course, back along Littleworth Road, up to Binton Wood car park where I walked my cross legged Westies! Obviously one there and back up toward Seale along Elstead Road. Back along Puttenham Road / Seale Road (don't think we missed a bus stop). BT telegraph poles will now have an extended life with all the plastic protecting them all! I just hope Monty reads one and tells us where he is!! Come on lad, give us a clue. We need photo again before we can move on any positive action, but if owner has access to this forum she could contact Phoebe's owner and ask her which travellers sites she had visited. She found them very helpful, when it was put across that Phoebe had 'run off and could turn up anywhere' and 'could you keep an eye out'. This approach rather than any 'have you got my dog' approach seems to have worked. Who knows it may have been the reason she was returned? In meantime owner needs to ring round vets, dog warden, kennels, police etc. Suggest posters right along Hogsback area and south to Bordon / Hindhead when we get photo, in view of time lapsed. Oh no! Massive springer fan (got one myself) so will be hoping and praying for a quick and safe return. Good that he's chipped but the main thing here is to get postering as soon as you can. In Edinburgh so can't do much except send all my positive thoughts your way. My springer has wandered off before and it took us 3 hours to find him, well a kind older gentleman found him actually. I'm sure Monty will be home safe soon. Thinking of you xxx Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
