So pleased she's doing well - I shall ask around to see if anyone has room for a tiny one :)
Dog WardenBasildon DW
Meg is doing really well, we got a little gooey on the surgery site but it has all cleared up beautifully, she is still as happy as ever and will be ready for rehoming soon. Anyone interested in rehoming Meg can contact Acres Way on 01268 770402.

Are any more funds needed for this one?
Dog WardenBasildon DW
Di hoard away... I have another on the site that is tiny, no one will notice her, she is only 1/4 of a dog, you could easily sneak her in.
Bo
May I be unmoderated please - thank you.
Di
My - she is just a mirror-image of my Pickle. Thank you for the update, Sarah x
I'd have her like a shot, but because of fostering, I've ended up keeping four ... so any more might be looked on as hoarding !! She's a sweetheart & deserves a home where she will be loved & cared for.
Dog WardenBasildon DW
At the moment bo she has not been 'advertised' as such until she has had her staples and stitches out. It wont be long before she finds a home, she is utterly adorable.
Thank you clare.
Clare
Shes so sweet. Thanks for he photo/update. Basildon DW you are an angel x

Apologies for the delay in updating with a photo, my router wanted a rest this weekend. Meg went back on Saturday for a check up and she is doing well, we just need to try and keep her quiet and rested which is a little difficult as she is full of beans. I am taking her back to the vet this morning to have her drain taken out.
Carol
Sending a big kiss , keep going sweetie xxx

Hi Di ...I will make time to call with my £20 donation tomorrow, just so you know what will be left!
Great to hear Meg is wagging her tail...Like to think that's because she is feeling happier, safer and surrounded by people who really love and care for her xx
collieowner
I second that Jayne. Wish all Dog Wardens were as kind and caring .

Basildon dog warden...You are a star! we are only happy to support our wonderful dog wardens and the good work they do...unsung heroines....
Dog WardenBasildon DW
Thank you all so much, you are all such terriffic people, words can not describe my gratitude. I have just got back from dropping Meg off, she has settled down nicely after having a little bit of dinner, her tail was non stop wagging, she either feels much better now all those lumps have gone or the drugs are really good. She is going to be very sore as she has more staples than office world but after having the full strip we won't be having any more lumps appear :) massive thank you to Mr Warren and Jackie and Donna at Benfleet vets for their generosity and taking such great care of all my waifs and strays x
Bo
Di that's a lovely kind gesture - :)
Di

Just spoken to the vets - little Meg's had a successful operation and all her tumours have been removed - they still need to raise £160 to cover her bill and many people have already donated so thank you for your kindness. She's just coming out of her anaesthetic now - bless her :-)Last edited: 2014-04-24 16:14:53 by Bo

Dog WardenBasildon DW
Thank you Bo x
Well said Fionap58 :) Di, I have told the kennels of your offer, she will be in the house post op as they have a recovery room but I will let you know if they need you.
Bo
Thanks Di - they've just taken my donation now as I'm a bit tied up tomorrow. The lady said they should be putting her under for her op tomorrow as you say and the cost could be anywhere between £200 and £600 depending on what they find. Ooh Di just saw your note ref foster - awwww - she's better off recovering with you than a kennel... :-)

Would like to extend a big thank you to the original owner for dumping this little one and thus allowing complete strangers to do your job and make sure she gets veterinary attention and a kind home!
Di
Vets have asked me to ring after 4pm tomorrow as they haven't a cost yet - so I shall do that (posting for others so they know). My offer stands for foster if needed (am homechecked & Bas DW - we chatted on FB recently, so you know my contact - remember the lost yorkie couple of years back !!!)
Dog WardenBasildon DW
Hi all, My vet is happy to take donations, we do not have a price at the moment as we are not 100% sure what work she needs done just yet, definitely a mammary strip to start with and control any infection but any donation, however small will be gratefully received. The vets number is 01268 753775 Meg's reference is 3351. Anyone interested in rehoming please call Acres Way 01268 770402. Thank you all so much.
Di
I'm quite touched by this littlun - her looks & story are similar to my littlun. If you are really stuck for her whilst she is undergoing all this, I could foster (if she would be OK with other dogs her size). I am also happy to contribute.
Bo
Just received this from the Dog Warden Sarah ;
"We are currently trying to get the money together for Meg's operation and hopefully we can have a mammary strip by the end of the week, one of the tumours looks ready to rupture and we want that and the other lumps off quick. We are hoping they are benign, they are not rooted and we cant feel any other masses in her stomach and her chest sounds perfect. She possibly has a womb infection as well as there has been a little bit of discharge. Ideally we would want to spay her asap but that may be a bit too painful for her so she is on a big dose of antibiotics and hopefully that will clear up quickly and not be anything too serious but we are keeping a very close eye on her.

I am honestly so touched by all the help I get from Dog lost members, you are all so terrific. I shall leave details of the vet on her page if anyone wishes to donate and the details of the kennels if anyone wants to rehome her. She is adorable"
End of quote - xx
Bo
I've just rung as above and the DW is out and about so I've left my mobile number and email address - I will update ASAP or I guess the lovely DW may update on here directly. Xxx

Me too.
Carol
I will help to , poor little girl xxxxx
fionap58
Yes I'd like to help too if you can post details on here, she looks adorable.
Bo
That's great news - I'm happy to contribute - shall I call you tomorrow for details of where to make payment to? She looks lovely. Thanks for helping her.
Dog WardenBasildon DW
Hi Bo, she has seen my vet already for initial treatment and we are just raising funds and hopoefully will get her back in for a mammary strip by the end of the week. She is very very sweet.
Bo
Will this little girl be treated if her owner doesn't come forward?
