Have just seen the dog and its not Izzy, very nervous managed to give a good feed before it left.
It's a larger dog (approx 2ft tall) with long black curly hair and long tail.

Dog Wardendebbi
been out there today with hazel and izzy's owner. still not positive that this is izzy as there are many different descriptions. owner staying in area along with his other dogs to try to see/get her. early days, but we may know something soon. we have sorted out a feeding area and got her blanket and stuff. she s very nervous of people and there is a lot of local resident interest too so at the moment can we just wait to see if the owner, with our help, can get her to show herself, at least we will know then whether it is izzy or not. hazel, thanks for all your work on this, let me know if you need me. debbie

Yes that is the side we doing a lot of. Also noticing that quite few posters being removed down there as well.x
4legsarebetterthan2
Just wondering if you have tried Merlins wood, just over the other side of Rousebarn lane. I don't tend to walk there but it's so close it's worth checking.
The lack of sightings is looking suspicious though. I hope you hear something soon Darren.
Unknown
Brill re posters. Had just sent you email before coming on here about ripped ones and missing ones particularly Rousebarn lane end. Didnt remember any cars in area did he ? Will be out again tommorrow. x
darren
thanks for letting me know, i have replaced some today and will be getting some laminated shortly
Hazell, i have located and spoken with guy i saw shortly before izzy disappeared, unfortunately he cannot recall anything significant.
I have been out checking both sides of rousebarn lane again.
If anyone was in rousebarn lane around 12pm on Sunday 27th and saw anything suspicious please let us know Thank you
4legsarebetterthan2
Just to advise that the posters around the area need to be redone and put in to clear plastic folders/ coverings as the ones up now are hard to read and look old due to the rain.
Unknown
All other side over two days from the carpark in Whippendell woods down to Rousebarn lane and back through other routes back to carpark. Again nothing seen. Spoke to lots of people who have seen posters and are kindly making sure look out every time they out there for a walk. Just appealing to anyone who may have been in the area on the 27th that may of seen Izzy. x

I have been in wheat fields with friends for four hours today checking right through to copse. walked back to where people camp and covered side back up to little green lane. Need to check other side again thoroughly near bridle path. Def aware of the tanks you talk about have seen those at the beginning. Have emailed you Darren. x
4legsarebetterthan2
Just so you know there are some buried tanks littered around in Whippie woods. They are only probably 2ft wide by 4ft long but they are quite deep. I know of two that I have stumbled on while walking, a couple of my dogs have fallen in and needed a hand out. I have checked the one on Rousebarn side of the woods but there is another on the left hand side between main path and golf course as you head away from the Grove car park towards cassiobury, I haven't managed to check this one yet. It does normally have some chain link fencing laid over it but it will be worth checking. If her eyes aren't that great she may have stumbled upon one of these tanks. I really hope not but would feel bad if you weren't aware of these tanks.
darren
Yes we believe she has been taken for that very reason, i have been out 6-7 hours each day since, looking all around woods and in cassiobury park and golf course and she has disappeared, thank you very much for looking for her she is missed very much by myself and baby son and also her two puppies
4legsarebetterthan2
Hi I am a Dogwalker and walk here at least twice a day. I haven't seen or heard anything about Izzy since she disappeared. Have there been any sightings at all? I have been checking rabbit holes and hiding places under the many fallen trees but it is strange that she hasn't been seen even once?
darren
Thank you but unfortunately it's not her

Hi Darren no prob did know where it was it just behind me. Been out all day saw some posters . There are a lot of good dog walkers round there that will keep eye out. Nik no def WD3 went straight out so didnt change postcode. if you go from Baldwins lane side down Links way leading down to back of West Herts Golf Course it that end . Darren have you put posters up at that Golf course ? I have had two missing from same place and they were seen on the golf course early hours of the morning. Was out for ages as you know such a large area to cover. Tommorrow I will start from the farm back down to Rousbarn they really good up there will ask them to let me know if they See Izzy any where near I will take poster up to them. x Last edited: 2014-04-28 22:46:14
