- Lets hope for a positive outcome and a conviction of some sort, I doubt it as these sort of people will just do it to another dog, possible cute puppy turned out to be lively teenager no longer wanted.

- My sentiments exactly Clare. The law needs to be revised as far as animal cruelty is concerned. I think these vile individuals should be given a little holiday on a remote island where they have the opportunity to experience hunger, despair and fear. Contemplation is , after all, good for the soul.

- Glad "the Owner" has been traced. Do we know what breed or cross she is supposed to be. Hope somebody can give her a loving home for the rest of her life.
- 2014-05-02 21:36 Clare
- I hope they are punished and banned from ever owning an animal but sadly will probably just get a slap on the wrist. I have no words to describe the sorry excuse for a human being who let this poor girl get into this state. Shame on you. I hope she is able to be rehomed and gets the love she deserves.

- The owner of the dog has been found. The person who originally owned her sold her. She's contacting the police.

- Agree, microchips are great but they can and do fail as one of my dogs was microchipped at the rescue centre and I have them checked every year when they're vaccinated but 2 years later one had dissappeared or failed so I had to have it redone.

- You are right Maria. Does look similar to TIFF and worth notifying her owners I think. Microchips are great but they can move around and be difficult to locate, and occasionally do fail.
- 2014-05-01 23:02 allimac
- What is the point of people who can do this? Star, the way is onwards and upwards, a better life beckons for you. So sorry about how people have behaved to you before now. Thank you to the person who found her and took steps.
- 2014-05-01 21:03 Maria Ferguson
- TIFF has been missing since 7 March.

- Have now managed to speak with the council and they are going to follow through and investigate to see if it is one of the pups. If so my neighbour should know where they all went hopefully. Good luck Star you are safe now, hopefully the people that did this to you will be found soon and punished.
- 2014-05-01 15:15 AKKK Taylor
- The litter of pups I mentioned were sired by a Staffie x Lab and their dam was a Rottie. They would be just about coming up to a year old now.

- Poor girl - she looks just like some pups my next door neighbour had. My son took 2 of them home and she is just like his two. I believe they all went to homes in the Boston area. I have tried the phone number advertised but can't get through. I hope they find out who is responsible.

- I hope Star has no long term effects from the disgusting way she has been treated. Thanks to whoever is caring for her now, thank goodness she was found when she was xx
- 2014-04-30 23:03 Patlucky
- She has a face of a lovely Labrador.
I could think of a few words for these people.
Would not be allowed here.
However we must remember this dog could well have been stolen.
Starved then left now that would be terrible.
It isn't impossible.
I just hope someone will know this dog and tell.

- Omg who could do this to a dog this really upsets me to think she has been tied up where she was .Thank you to the person who found her before it was too late, what has this darling dog been through, there is no need for animals to have to suffer like she has done, and I hope people who know who had Star come forward so they can be punished and please a sentence to fit the crime because this little one at a young age has had to suffer so much. You are safe now Star and will get lots of love .Hugs to you Star.x x x

- What a brave person you are to starve a dog, and then abandon it. I DONT THINK SO. I totally agree with all the other comments. Am so glad she is in safe hands now, and away from the monster who treated you thus. You definitely are a star*, and hopefully you will find a loving home where you will be "The Star of the show" Keep us p;osted.

- Looks like a large breed as opposed to sighthound type. Will share on my and a few horsey fb pages as although not from Lincs I am a PE postcode. Poor poor thing - I never understand 1. why or how people can abandon dogs and 2. tie them up - may be wrong but feel at least they could try and find food on their own. Your safe now bright little star good luck
