- Seen tonight in the quarry, very skinny bitch with white flash, came out of bushes as we were whistling/calling and came close then bolted. Ran up Westy Road and over onto the bridle way at the top (grafton Way). Had run in front of a car and man followed it into the field. Same thing came almost to him before bolting. Left food in both places. Looked like it could have had pups? Carol and I were out about hour and a half but no sign after that.

- Just in from searching, Met up with another lady called Gill & together we braved the barbed wire & climbed fence into quarry grounds, Gill suddenly spotted her (yes it's a bitch, dark brown brindle, very pointed upright ears, quite a pointed nose, We think it's a staff cross, looks like she may have had pups in the past) she approached us while we held our breath & spoke softly to her but she lost her nerve at the last minute & avoided us. We followed her at a distance then lost sight of her after a bend. We hung around the quarry for a while before leaving Gill left some biscuits hoping she might return later. As we got back on the road we noticed a vehicle parked up on the Whittlebury Road with hazards on thinking he might have hit her we went up there, Gill spoke to him seems she had run across the road in front of him & onto the Grafton Bridle Way, he had followed her halfway up it, but again after starting to approach him she lost her nerve again & bolted across the fields. Gill & myself walked to the boundary but no sign, not wanting to stress her with more calling or whistling we left Gill has put more biscuits on the pathway for her. So frustrating she clearly wants to come to you but loses her nerve at last minute. I am away for the day tomorrow bu Gill will be up there during the day & if I'm back from Wiltshire early enough will be up there tomorrow evening if she hasn't been caught by then.

- More info on todays sighting: "We saw him today on the track just past the Quarry, the Quarry workers saw him at 1.30 pm in the Quarry grounds, we saw him afterwards, I walked up the track with my dog hoping he would come to us, no sight of him. My husband saw him at about 2 pm on the track, he said he/she was young and thin and very frightened , I have asked dog walkers in the area to look out for him too"
