- Doris is home! She turned up this morning running across the fields to her owner! She's thin and was very thirsty so it sounds like she's been stuck down a hole somewhere and has managed to wriggle free when she lost weight. Although I think we checked every hole we could find! We are so very lucky and so very relieved. Thanks to Millypod and everyone for their help xx

- Hi Rocinate, Would Doris know her way home from the woods? What about adverts in Buy/sell free paper and Winsford Guardian not sure if its free for lost dogs. Has Pettipool been given a poster lots of camping at weekends and used to be a miniature railway there that attracts visitors.

- Hi Millypod, no nothing. We've postered alot of shops and main junctions and going to do some more this afternoon. Also been looking down lots of rabbit holes but nothing. She seems to have vanished into thin air. Any ideas?

- You are doing a great job Rocinante. Make sure they contact the council warden tomorrow as over the bank holiday weekend quite a lot of councils will have had their out of hours service running. Many will have thought the wardens working at all this weekend and there may be more info received tomorrow morning if she has been found.
I have added a second photo and its a little clearer so I have swapped the 2 photos around, you may have to refresh your page to see the change. - 2014-05-05 21:42 Rocinante
- Hi Millypod, thanks for the information. Doris belongs to my friends. I've checked at Acorn but will call them again tomorrow. Also called Cheshire and Leigh dogs homes and a couple of the local vets but will ring around again tomorrow. She's also registered on the animal warden site. Leafleted all of the houses along Dalefords lane and have put posters up on all the paths that lead out of the forest. More to go up tomorrow in the surrounding areas and hopefully towards Winsford. Hoping and praying that if someone has picked her up, they will take her to a vets tomorrow. xx
