- A long shot, but could this be Rosie? This girl has a 'tuft' on her head.
The post doesn't say whether scanned .. but even if no chip found we must remember that not all chips can be read ... and not all scanners can read the various makes of chip ... plus, the chip may be faulty .. it happens quite often.

- I will replace the posters that I placed up for Rosie this week. Such a shame she hasn't been found, I really feel for all your family. I know it is a long way off to you all but the shooting season will be here in a few months. It may be worth getting in touch with the shoot managers so they can keep an eye out for new Springers looking like her turning up. Just a thought xx.Last edited: 2014-07-07 15:43:37 by Sharon L-D

- Earlier today on one of the Gundog forums I spotted that someone posted on the 9th May that Rosie was found - no mention of the Landrover which appears to be that date. Do you know anything about this? x

- I have posted on ITS A SPRING THING facebook site. Also called in to Dogs Trust at Roden who had been informed by owners. Have returned home now from shropshire but encouraging local friends up there to spread the word...the farming community have been well advised but the public need to keep eyes open specially in dog walking places so other dog walkers can spread the word.. coulkd anyone poster up Haughmond Hill woods and Apley castle woods in Wellington, both massive dog walking areas...also put posters in supermarket car parks and on community noticeboards in supermarkets ask at customer services..also petrol stations especially by diesel tanks. In shrewsbury down by the river and the Quarry gardens, all animal feed places... Rosie either gave these people the slip and ran off or they have her and will sell her on quickly...horrible thought but dogs exchange hands for £100 to someone who needs that money and who have nothing much now....Poor girlie must be frightened...sadly the landrover was dumped not too far from home so if she ran off and hopefully Rosie's family will have spread the word and continue to do so around the county. I also know farmer friends over shropshire..postering postering postering is the key, lampposts, beauty spots,, feed places, outerwear stores, vets dont worry abt coloured pics they are better but black and white jsut as efective, rolls of sellotape, bite with your teeth and you can get through 400 in a morning!!!!!

- Lucy, I presume when you say "working" you mean used for shooting/beating, not just farm dog. We had a Working Cocker Spaniel go missing (presumed taken) over 3 years ago from North Shropshire (TF9) on a shoot day. To date no sighting or news of our missing spaniel, these type of dogs get moved around the country very quickly. Hope she is found soon.
