Thanks liznhar .. several other people asked if it was Rusty too. Owner went to see and it's him! Thinner and has sore paws but otherwise ok. Hopefully Rusty now has a microchip as he was found at vets. You may need to refresh the page to see the reunited photos.

Thanks Debbie .. tried the link and it says not found so owner of that dog must have been found now and post removed.
Have just had message to say it has all gone quiet and no sightings of Rusty in the last couple of days but they are still looking for him.
I'm hoping that someone has managed to catch Rusty and that there will be news after the vets are open tomorrow/or from the dog wardens.
Debbie

Stay safe young lad till you home x

Owner says home is Wittersham so not far away, but I'm hoping Rusty will stay put as there are some not so nice roads and a big river between him and home. A camera is being set up near where sightings today were to see if they can spot him on it.
TK - Area Volunteer, East Sussex
Sounds as if he is staying in the same area... There is a good chance he will show up in the same area tomorrow morning, especially if food & bedding is left... If possible have someone in the area early tomorrow morning, stay safe Rusty & hope you are soon found ..

Good news about the sightings xx Come on Rusty please let somebody help you get back home to your family x

Have just had this back from Rusty's owner and as there have been several sightings of him today I am 'bumping' this page.
" Rusty was spotted three times today. All in the morning, all in Houghton Green Lane, Iden. All within five hundred meters of each other. He was also spotted positively at Bosney Farm in Iden about half a mile away on Tuesday. Certainly a pattern. With friends and family we have had a presence in the area all day and all residents, shops, pub, dog walkers know about him. Please do update his profile. He is close to home, maybe four miles away. Come on Rusty!"
Have advised owner to leave bedding and food in the area he was seen this morning. Not sure where Rusty's home is yet, but hopefully he's heading in the right direction. Stay safe Rusty. Last edited: 2014-05-22 20:56:37 by Clarkey - Area Co-ordinator, East Sussex
