Unfortunately the owners had not come forward yesterday so we had to ring the out of hours dog warden service. She is with them now. If/when the owners come forward the need to call Worcestershire council out of hours number and they will help them. Such a shame.

Penny has been missing for one year on Friday 22nd May.
Penny belongs to an elder lady who does not use the internet - Kelly (her dog walker) is doing a brilliant job trying to help her. Please if everyone can keep looking out for her and sharing her details.

There is a retriever called Eva in blue Cross Thirsk, similar to penny but says age is 5yrs 7 months. Worth a phone call.

Of course it was April Fools Day yesterday :-(
But the dog looked just like Penny.
I have a little group on FB , we contact advertisers on scum tree , ask them to remove their ad, advise them of the dangers and recommend a reputable rescue, but I did have two others that where on mobile phones that where April Fools. Sorry if this is the case.

There is an advert on Gum Tree some one has advertised seven Golden Retrievers and one looks very like Penny . The Phone number is 07504051408 They seem to be in a very nice compound so this may be a rescuer or a serial dog collector !

Sorry Lynn, I am a little confused. I contacted the dog warden in our area and she said it was a labrador and not a golden retriever that was picked up. The Golden Retriever reported sighted in the High Coniscliffe area is well known to the neighbours and is returned without the dog warden being involved. I have rung Deerness Kennels and they do not have a Golden Retriever.

Hi Margaret my dog trainer who lives in Bedworth was contacted out of the blue, if this stray Golden keeps being returned to its owner they must have the correct microchip details. The Golden that has been picked up was registered incorrectly to my trainer. She has left me the following details, I am seeing her tonight at dog training so will come back on to confirm more info. Hi, I checked with the dog warden but it was a male labrador picked up near Easington. Also, checked out High Coniscliffe and Merrybent area, left posters with residents and posted on walkway to river. The "Stray" seen in that area could be a Golden who often takes herself off and has been returned home on many occasions from residents nearby. Attended Appleby Fair on two days but no sign of any retrievers. After all this time, with local radio and newspaper coverage, and no results, I think someone is holding on to her. This is so selfish as Kathleen is going out of her mind.

Hi I know this is a long shot but my dog trainer has just been contacted by the County Durham dog warden to say a Golden retriever has been picked up today and the microchip number was registered to my dog trainer for some reasons (she has never owned a golden retriever) and is in the Central region. So can someone either Dog lost or the owner of this dog contact the Durham dog warden on this number 07776411971, it just may be Penny, they didn't tell my trainer if it was a male or female dog.

Any sightings reported yet?
We were out at Favordale/Whessoe most of yesterday and unfortunately couldn't find a trace of her. Also put up a couple of extra posters and spoke to a couple of farmers in the area who unfortunately haven't seen her either.
We will be out shortly for a little while in the hope of a sighting.

• Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
• A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (69328)
