- Kimmybear - i found a newspaper article about tjos and it states same number for owner. As its 2 yrs old they could possibly have changed their number by now.

- Did walk through yesterday of area Alfie went missing from. The area generally is pretty clean, and didn't find stream. The reservoirs are at back but that would be way too dangerous for Alfie, also wouldinvolve main roads.will have another phone round tomorrow, but sure owner would have phoned in week

- Natr do you think Alfie would have been stolen or escaped in the burglary, I would think the last thing a burglar picked up when leaving would be a dog, so if they came in through a door they probably would have left it open. Would Alfie have been frightened or would he have made a bid for freedom. Rufus a tiny yorkie REUNITED ID 64159 got out of the house and was "on the run" for about 7 weeks. Dogs need water as well as food and I think Rufus probably followed a stream to where he was found. I googled map of E4 and can see small streams and houses and parkland/ golf course etc. Don't know if this is near you but have you searched in those sort of places. I don't know anything about chihuahuas but, some little dogs are tough little cookies. If he wasn't taken in the burglary he is hopefully still out there somewhere living off chips and whatever discarded food he can find. It may be worth contacting dog training clubs and ask them to keep an eye open for him, put posters up in pet shops. Now summer's here (that's a joke) there may be doggie shows and rescue events going on in your area, it may be that the organisers would advertise him for you. Hope you find him soon, don't get disheartened XLast edited: 2014-05-30 21:14:51 by Me N My Girl - Administrative Volunteer

- Excellent thought, as does happen, me n my girl. Well done owner, keep doing this, very often hard work pays off. DogLost is testament to this. Make sure you keep the road people on the ball as well so they don't forget, Keep making her so famous she is way too hot to handle! Yes, have you called the papers? this will be publicity that you need! Come on Alfie, where are you? x

- Is there anywhere in garden/porch you could leave old clothing with your smell on in a box and some food just incase he is hanging around your area but frightened to come in. Silly question but have you looked in wardrobes cupboards etc just incase he has been shut in somewhere.

- As this is community news have you considered call local newspaper? They will be able to circulate their readers but paper and website ? X

- There's a FB site called " pets lost and found in newham and surrounding areas" it may be worth putting Alfie on there. I've joined but can't do clever things, only look.

- I'm sad to say still no update on Alfie. Thank you so much Shelagh for your help searching. Thank you to everyone for your messages and tweets. Vets have all been informed, I've called microchip companies, no luck, I won't give up searching. I've been on websites searching for chihuahuas for sale, no luck x

- Sorry couldn't post before as internet down . Did early morning search of remaining roads near where he went missing. Contacted street services yesterday, but will need to do tomorrow as different people weekdays. Left his details with all emergency vets. Rest tomorrow. With reference the church/graveyard mount have not checked as a long way from where he went missing
- 2014-05-26 13:17 Kimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders
- Can I suggest you check the big church at the end of the Mount? If he ran out, he could be hiding in the grave yard and obtain water from the flower pots/troughs etc. It is very likely he could have been taken as chihuahuas are in high demand at the moment. So we act as though he was stolen but also be aware he could have escaped his captors or run away. So we check everything! Anyone able to search the sale ads? Thank you. x

- You are doing great out there. Many thanks to Shelagh, as always. Nate, can we clarify re vets and chips. Vets all have records but they may not have checked for a chip. They do have him on their books don't they? I would call the micro chip companies, start with PetLog and give them your name and details. They should be able to locate him if he has a chip. Hey can then update their details to stolen/missing so if he gets scanned it will alert the authorities. Read the email I sent you and do everything on it. Have you called the council road people in case they have seen him? the best way is to make him too hot to handle. Keep it up. If the papers run a story that will be brilliant. It will also alert others to the plight of stolen dogs like more Oskar. Ley's find you Oskar sweetheart! x

- Have made a report for this little fella at BDCH. No matches yet but we let you know if we hear anything or he is brought in or reported to us.
- 2014-05-25 09:50 Shelagh
- Could you give me a road. It can be a road up to four roads away from where he went missing. Chingford mount is a big area and to give ourselves the best chance of finding him we have to narrow it down.
- 2014-05-25 09:27 Natr85
- Near chingford mount x
- 2014-05-24 23:40 Shelagh
- Let me know which part of chingford he went missing from I will do early morning search as I'm looking for another dog close to there. If you prefer text info 07985661774

- 2014-05-24 21:37 Natr85
- Thank you he was taken or ran away as they came in. If he ran away I would expect him to be back as he knows area well, and I've searched everywhere. Police already aware and I have reference number. I will call newspaper tomorrow morning thank you, posters going up tomorrow xx
- 2014-05-24 21:34 Natr85
- But my name and his will be on it x
- 2014-05-24 21:33 Natr85
- Unfortunately even though I was with him when he had his injections and microchipped there doesn't appear to be a record on vets system. As my house was burgled I am struggling to find paperwork to check details. I'm convinced he is but bets say no. If microchipped telephone number is wrong as mobile stolen in burglary xx
- 2014-05-24 21:32 Kimmybear - Area Co-ordinator, Essex & Hertfordshire borders
- Also, owner - was he taken in the burglary? Please can you provide more details. You need a crime number from police if he was stolen. If he's gone, then you assume he was so we have different things to do. Call police now and print poster off here and put them up everywhere. Call the local paper and tell them as it will be a story and will get you the much needed publicity to help find Alfie. x

- Can you confirm whether chipped or tagged please? This is important, thank you. x

- Sorry to see that ALFIE GONE IN BURGLARY is missing.
- If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
- Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
- A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (69388)
