Lost dog ESSI that is very good advice.
I found a dog once and took it to the kennels.
At the kennels they scanned it and said NO micro chip.
However I thought she scanned it much to fast.
That evening the owner phoned to thank me.
The owner said the dog was chipped.
So always go look for yourself.
As said below the dog could be rehomed or at the worst PTS

If your dog is microchipped it SHOULD bring them home....otherwise what's the point?!?! This whole microchip thing is a blinking disgrace. Having a dog that has been missing for six months I always comforted myself that the microchip will bring him home dead or alive.....how wrong was I!!

Just a note on this - ALWAYS check and double check the holding kennels at the pound. Hayley had been told that Jess wasn't there- Jess was microchipped - South ox district council got wrong info. Following another phone call it turned out that Jess WAS there. This could have ended very badly with Jess being rehomed or worse pts. As it was it cost Hayley £140 for out of hours collection and £15 a day kennel fees.Don't assume that because your dog is microchipped that that alone will bring them home. Always go and check in person if possible. Welcome home Jess - glad to see you are back safe (if a little tired and stinky - see reunited photo below)x

There was a sighting yesterday morning up the road, then council said she was picked up Newbury st round he corner from where she was seen. Then council said it wasn't her- Hayley - to make sure you need to pay the local holding kennels a visit in case they havent picked up her chip number on a scan - this may be the only reason that they think it isnt her.

The owner (Hayley) posted a message on FB saying 'Jess has been missing since 8.30am from Trinder Rd Orchard way, escaped through a gap in the railings'

Sorry to see Jess is missing. This is not my area but I am always available to help where I can. I hace friends in Wantage area and any info regarding her disappearance would be a great help.....
