Be assured that I am not under any false impression that healthy dogs are not PTS, I am well aware they are, doesn't make it right though and I, as we'll as many others, do not have to agree with it. If it was a case of the owners not being able to afford the kennel fees ( not aware this is the case, but mentioned below) an agreement could have been met. Whatever the reason Roxy did not deserve to die.

not blaming the pound - angry at the owners. Especially when there are so many people who have lost their dogs and are /desperate/ to find them. Poor Roxy, you didn't deserve this. :(

Well said Liz Q. Unfortunately there are dog lovers and dog owners, some dogs are disposed of as easily as last years sofa. It may have been that the owners couldn't afford kennel fees, but because staffies are a popular breed and have a reputation they must be harder to rehome. Very sad.

As per a previous comment~the pound kept her 6 WEEKS longer than they legally had to AND publicised the fact she was there and for rehoming! I don't know why anyone thinks healthy dogs aren't pts?! Thousands are put to sleep across the UK every year??? This is something you cannot blame the pound for! I try and list all of the dogs on here that they post on their page so everyone needs to share and crosspost and do whatever they have to do to get these dogs shared. There's no point in doing it when the dogs are dead. Sorry to be so blunt but it's true! x

They did not rehome Roxy, because they obviously dont care. They should be named, and shamed, and banned from keeping any animal for life, in my opinion. Night, night sweet Roxy, sleep tight, and play with the other "Rainbow babies" When the time is right for you to meet someone at the bridge, I just hope it wont be your so called owners. The owners should be named & shamed & banned from getting another dog for life.

The sad thing is that, despite all the flack they get, the pound did try. They publicised her and kept her 6 weeks longer than they had to. Please all "like" their facebook page and get sharing these dogs.

Poor sweet girl, RIP. I get so angry at irresponsible owners bad breeders. When will it stop having to put healthy dogs to sleep, it happens far too often. X

I only put "PTS" so people would take more notice and see what's going on~it worked,sadly...She had no comments when she was alive and only 18 shares on facebook~today everyone is taking notice :( x
