Monty now has a chip!! Well done Jenny with your prompt actions and responsible attitude! May you and Monty have a long and happy life together. He is a very lucky boy to have you as his owner

Couldn't agree more Springer Sharon, Jenny did indeed do everything she could possibly have done to speed up finding Monty.
I wonder if Monty may be a very lucky boy being found with only part of his lead. Perhaps he was caught up somewhere and managed to free himself.
Alls well that ends well. Stay safe now Monty x

Monty has been found by a fellow walker in a field near to where he was last seen. Part of his lead was still attached. He is fine but I have advised Jenny to take him to the vets for a once over and to get him chipped. I'm delighted for Jenny who has worked so hard to get him back despite having him for such a short time... Well done Jenny. I have a reunited photo which I will attempt to upload. Once again the power of posters and word of mouth played a key role in finding Monty

No news of MONTY so far this morning. His owner plans to go back out searching again this morning and will be re phoning the warden and calling vets etc and getting posters up. If anyone able to help her tel number is that here on his page.
Have suggested she give some thought to having a scent item posted from his DDR foster mum who lives in Yeovil

The playing field have direct access to Ferndown common, still wet over there.not sure how well people know the playing fields. one access is off church road, head for the middle school. this will take you to park tennis courts and football/cricket pitches. you can go onto Leisure centre playing fields at the back of the first and middle schools from this point, thats where most dog owners go because dogs can be let off leads. A line of trees separate the two fields. lots of people follow tht line of trees and go through metal kissing gate on to cmmon. You can also park near the Upper School in Cherry Orchard Grove or road. This is also near the Leisure Centre so it might be worth asking there. The groundsman for the King George fields can be found near the tennis courts. hope this doesnt sound too confusing.

I understand having spoken to the owners that he is very friendly and will be attracted to other dogs. I will take one of my springers with me.
