Thank you all so much for all your help you lovely lovely people. It is such a horrible feeling to lose a pet, especially when you've had them for years!
Thanks to Mags for the posters too! I think we would not have had her back without them!
We are now all signed up to help other dog owners in the same situation!

Such fantastic news, thank you Mags for the postering and the searching, Borderfan and I are friends of Keeva's breeder, and she's been desperate for her to be found. If you are walking that way again, could you take the posters down please, so as not to confuse people x Thank you for your help
Mags
That is fantastic, I am so pleased. It is such a big area that is not visited by many people. Was she found near to where she was lost? I walked there on Saturday and saw nothing.
borderfan
Great news! Keeva has been found. A dog walker must have spotted Mags posters and saw her. He grabbed her and fed her his sandwiches. She ate them all, she was so hungry! He has taken her home to Bradford where she will stay until her owners will go and get her. Mags, Windrushway called me to tell me the news. She is Keeva's breeder and can't thank you enough as without the posters she wouldn't have been found. Thank you to everyone who kept a lookout for Keeva. No doubt myself or Windrushway will post again when she is with her owners.
borderfan
New information added about keeva. She has a black spot near the back of her tongue.
borderfan
Thanks for posting about the lost dog in Morpeth. The breeder identified her not to be Keeva and the dog has since been reunited with its owner. Thanks again for looking out for Keeva.

Mags you are so kind,,,,,,, Im afraid I cannot get hold of the owners to find out their plans :( Just feel so helpless down here :(

No luck l'm afraid. I climbed to a high point to scan the area with binoculars but it is so hard to see into all the gullies. Are the owners able to come back to the area?

Tx Mags...your a star!

I have just returned from walking in the area she was lost. No sign I'm afraid. I have put posters up all along the route and handed some to a friend who knows all the farmers that work on the fells in that area. It would be good to know exactly which route the owners took. The yellow on the map is the National Park boundary, not a path. Please let me know if they started from the Fell End Road, walked along the tiny road and joined the bridlepath through the Uldale House farmyard, past the kennels of very loud collies? Or did you park at Rawthey Bridge and come along the bridlepath the south side of the river crossing it by the gated bridge then heading for the farmyard? If the dog tried to return by whichever outward route you took it could end up in two very different areas of open fellside.
Answer to borderfan, yes I am dropping off a poster tonight at the local horse trail riding stables.
Sorry for the long post but all information is helpful. Don't give up hope, there are plenty of rabbits and water up there.
borderfan
Thanks for circulating on twitter. We have contacted some B & B's in the local area (we thought walkers to the area might stay there) and the post office. I know the vets have been contacted by the owner and the local farmer is aware. Thank you in advance to any helpers who have looked for Keeva. Its imperative that she is found. Does anyone know of any local horseriding establishments near to where she went missing (she went missing off of a bridlepath) as it might be useful for us to contact them and make them aware in case they see her.

Hope this is of some help but this is what I know from information taken from Keeva's breeder. She was lost off of a bridlepath off Uldale House Farm. The owners took a detour across a steepish field (either in front or behind of the farm not sure) and Keeva was spooked by something and ran. The owners saw her run to the top of the field and disappear from view. When the got to the top they looked and thought she would just be over the other side of the field looking down. She was nowhere. Whether she just kept on running and got disorientated that I do not know. I hope that is of some help. Any help looking is so gratefully received by both Keeva's breeder and owner. Thank you Mags, if you can look that would be so wonderful. Keeva is currently on medication I believe and they are desperately worried about her. I know her breeder personally and she is devastated by her disappearance. Last edited: 2014-06-10 13:37:25 by borderfan

Mags, she was lost in the area by the red flag on the map above, they were taking the yellow path denoted on the map, near to Uldale House, any posters that can be placed in areas near car parks would be fantastic. Keeva is from a friend's litter, and everyone is desperate to find her safe and get her back home. Her red bandana may help spot her amongst gorse and bracken, she's likely gone to ground as she will be alone and frightened

Shared on Facebook Groups. Will ask for Keeva to be put on Twitter. Stay safe little girl until you are found x
Mags
Has anyone put up posters or informed the vets at Sedbergh? I have just got home from being away and seen this and can help spread the word. It would help to know if the owners were walking in the area where they walked from, it is fairly remote and can be approached from different directions.I can head that way this afternoon.

Listed on behalf of owner. They are absolutely frantic for news as she was lost whilst on holiday. The owners have since had to return home. There is a red flag on the map which shows where she went missing. Please keep a lookout. Thank you. The vet at Kirby Stephen has also been notified.
