Bit of a long shot and this 'found' dog says 'unknown' for microchip. May be worth checking though as Epsom is at other end of A24, direct route from Ashington. It was the Derby race meeting last week so lots of people travelling there. http://www.doglost.co.uk/dog-blog.php?dogId=70438#.U577pCjiU-8Last edited: 2014-06-16 15:17:20 by Clarkey - Area Co-ordinator, East Sussex

Ashurst and Ashington are only 2 miles apart and owner registered as Ashington so need to adhere to their posting...however totally feasible that Sam may be in ashurst way..tx
Peppa dog
I thought Sam was missing from Ashurst (BN44) not Ashington. Please can this be confirmed and changed if incorrect. Hope he makes his way home soon

Hi I regularly walk on the footpath behind Ashington Church and am keeping an eye out but if you want a hand on an organised search just shout.
Emzlou87
Please can people only call this number if they have information on Sam as been getting lots of calls asking if want to talk about it, this is hard enough time without people calling to have a discussion about it. Thank You Last edited: 2014-06-12 09:55:27 by Emzlou87

He is still missing no news as of yet. Lets just hope someone finds him. Thanks for sharing it

Sam is still missing and so far there have been no sightings. He is listed on all the local Doglost sites on FB, also Brighton Dogwatch and the Horsham page. Posters are up and kennels will be contacted today. All fingers and paws crossed that Sam is safe and found soon.
Jack
Any news of Sam this morning? I have shared on my Facebook, also the main DogLost and DogLost Southeast facebook sites. Apologies if I've duplicated anything but I could not find Sam listed on the DogLost facebook sites although had received a Doglost email alert direct. I have seen a Horsham Community facebook site too and will try posting on there. I've not used that site before so not sure how it is administered yet but will give it a try.
Jack
Hope Sam is soon back home with you. If he has gone further south/west, it may be worth you contacting Old Clayton Kennels between Washington and Storrington as I believe some dogs are taken there. Local vets in this area are Arun and Crossways who might be worth contacting too. Do you normally walk him in Ashington? Might he have taken himself on a normal route? Fingers crossed he will find his way home soon x
Emzlou87
Yes he is chipped I need to update that. There have been no sightings of him. We have rung the warden in the surrounding area. Thank you will try that kennel. And Horsham spotted x
Julie B
It doesn't say if Sam is chipped or not - but it would be worth you ringing Hammerpond Kennels in Horsham on 01403 891825 as soon as possible as if he has been picked up this is where he would more than likely be taken. Have there been any sightings at all ? Have you posted him as missing on the Horsham facebook page and Horsham Spotted facebook page ? I will post him as missing on the Arundawn Animal Rescue facebook page which is in Horsham. I hope he stays away from the A24 - that will be the main worry. I do hope he is found safe and well very soon x
