Dear All, Morangie is back home and safe with us. He was found on Western Rd in the early hours this morning. Thank you so much to everyone who shared this post, and who was out looking for Morangie. We very much appreciate it. Thank you! Becca and Jai

Hi everyone, thanks for your comments and offers of help. Morangie was seen around the mews on Holland Rd (close to Davigdor Rd) at around 7pm, possibly limping. We have been searching the area but still not found him. If anyone can help look tomorrow, please do. We sometime go to St Anne's Well's Gardens with him, and around the children's play area there. I will be putting posters around there in the morning. Thanks again for your help, Becca

If you need any help and he's not found by tomorrow I'm happy to come and look with my 2 labradors. I live near hove park and will walk down checking bushes and front gardens etc as I go. Good idea to get plenty of posters up so sightings can be reported and put leaflets through doors if he's still out tomorrow. I'm also happy to help put up posters or leaflet drop if someone gives them to me.x

I have shared Morangie's poster on Vizsla UK and London & Surrey Viz Facebook pages, with an audience base of thousands. Please keep this page updated with progress - including any organised search parties so local Vizsla folks can help out

Hi, thanks David - that's good to know. We're still looking for him (he bolted and its unlike him to go too far). Becca

oh dear. Hove lawns is very open. What happened? Bolted away towards portslade? inland?

We lost our Vizsla on the Downs two years ago. She was out for two nights until we found her. We searched everywhere but in the end she had hidden under a tree about 100m away from where we'd last seen her. Apparently this is quite normal for the breed. They run off, realise they aren't with you, and then settle down to wait for you to arrive. I know Hove Lawns is different to the Downs but wanted to share our experience in case it helps. Also there is a Facebook group for Vizslas you could post onto (Brighton Vizslas). I had people from that group walking over the Downs looking for our dog! Also contact the dog walkers as they all know each other and text around to keep an eye open for missing dogs. I no longer live in the area but am wishing you well.
