she has now been reunited with her owner - our very nice vets kept her for 3 days and owners saw our poster on the 3rd day -

We had a phone call tonight about this dog having postered the area where we found her. Bloke claims she is his daughter's dog who escaped Saturday. We had taken her to our vets to check if she was chipped and as they had space and as our rescue springer is not good with other dogs volunteered to keep her over the weekend and then liaise with RSPCA. So hopefully will be re-united. Warned him he had 5 days left and needed to be prepared for fine - hopefully he has the money to her her back (we had to call him back to a call box...)
