- There was a dog pulled out of a canal recently, which then later said it was a fox ... ID number 70406Last edited: 2014-07-09 17:15:17 by TK - Area Volunteer, East Sussex

- There was another reported deceased dog a couple of weeks ago, which they decided was a fox. Am now wondering... I will try to find it. Got to pop out but will have a look later. Wondering if this is a statutory response when they haven't bothered to scan?

- I have drawn a conclusion that the Highways Agency is a law unto themselves....utterly appalling service and attitude! I am waiting again for them to call back as their15day response service is now well out of time again!

- I have my concerns following my call on Weds and will be calling them again later today ....I am so sorry to hear how they treated your little boy...there is no excuse to disrespect a deceased animal x if I don't receive a satisfactory answer I will be complaining to their management and seeking an explanation.

- I hope the Highways do what they say they will, however I very much doubt it.
My dog was killed on the m5 in virtually the same spot 4months ago.
Highways agency told us a pack of lies. They didn't scan him and we were told that they do not have the resources to take his body to the depot. Instead they just dumped him over the fence. ( not even in a bag) horrific!! and I pity anyone who has to deal with them !!! - 2014-06-17 18:15 Sherlock- Area Co-ordinator & Police Liaison - Avon & South Gloucestersh
- Please do not move to reunite yet...this was a dog and the police incident confirmed it was a dog they moved to the grass verge. Highways are going to take another look tomorrow.

- Hi Mollychops...I have left a message for Leah, Baileys owner as from recall I am absolutely sure it is not her baby as Bailey is long haired with a defined nose ....this little deceased dog had tan ears and tan patches against white. It was just too close to the roadwork end for me to safely stop but is was very small dog xx

- Spoke with Glos Police Incident Number 422 16/6....they have moved this little dog away from the edge so that the Highways Agency (03001235000) Incident No. 1091 16/6 can transfer to their compound freezer. They will scan the dog and make every effort to find the owners (log call 17762596) xx God Bless this little dog xx
