Hi Phoenix, yes i put Zeus's owner in touch with DDAWatch yesterday and he has been in contact with them receiving advice. They are a fantastic organisation. Thank you x
Phoenix
Thank you. Have you been in touch with these people? They are brilliant giving advice about BSL and the owners rights. Good luck.

Hi Phoenix, Zeus's owner was told by a local resident that they had seen a Brindle dog matching Zeus's description being collected by the dog section. The local police were contacted on 101 and details on dates and location that the dog was picked up was then given to the police.
The local warden should be aware if any other dogs have been collected under the same circumstances so please keep contacting the warden daily for updates. x
Phoenix
Hi can I ask how you found out that Zeus may be with the police for breed assessment? Just thinking because Gwladys went missing in the same area and there has been no sign of her despite a lot of advertising and searching by her owner. Would the police inform the dog warden they had a dog? Sorry for all the questions but with Glwadyss look she may also be mistaken for a pb. Hope you have good news about Zeus soon.
Rileys Mum
Thank you Riverlady.
Fingers crossed for some positive news soon. x
Rileys Mum
Ok, update. We now know that A dog that does match Zeus's description was picked up by the local police and is being held for breed assessments. It has still not yet been confirmed 100% if it is Zeus or not but the police do think it is him. I have put Zeus's owner in touch with the correct people whilst trying to get some clarification on which dog was picked up. Will update asap once we know more.

Big thanx RileysMum can't really have conversations on twitter.....nearly 26K listening as well.

A dog was picked up by local police but we have no evidence that it was Zeus. The police have been contacted and are calling back with more info on the dog that they collected. I spoken at length to Tommy about this subject yesterday. I have given him appropriate contact details should that happen and advised he check with the local police, as well as the local wardens, on a daily basis.

Been out since 3. Just got home. Searched all local parks, housing estates and spoken to local residents. No sightings at all, nobody has seen him. Also looked for any local food and water sources, found a small fishing pond but it's quite hard to get into (even for a dog) as it is all totally fenced in, just one small part of the fence has what appears to be a dug out hole underneath where maybe foxes are used to travelling through.
Aiming to print more leaflets tomorrow to put through doors once an update from the local warden has been received and all local pounds have been checked. Zeus's owner is also going to poster the local school and church just incase the lady, who the dog was seen following, happens to attend church on Sunday mornings.
Zeus's owner has also requested that the posters be amended to state that there will be a reward for anybody who returns Zeus safely.

Tommy was out searching for Zeus yesterday and someone told him that a dog similar to him was seen following a lady and her dog and the lady looked scared but the dog continued to follow them. This was on Glynn street which is of Picton Road.

Bumped his page due to the possible sighting

The description of the dogs didn't match Zeus sadly but it would still be worth him going to have a look at the found dogsLast edited: 2014-06-21 19:24:28 by Maggie

Tommy, further to Mayjul's comment, did you go and check out the dog found? because as she says, someone could have taken him, changed his collar, and then changed their mind about keeping him.
Rileys Mum
A friend of mine had a drive around the area last night on the look out for Zeus, no sightings i'm afraid. x

Somebody could of changed the collar. You should ask to go and look at the dog to make sure it isn't Zeus.
Tommy
and said its not a match but if a dog comes in she will let me know but im worried that he may either went off somewhere miles away from the location we lost him or that he may either still be stray outside or someone has stolen him. I have put posters up outside the location he was lost but everyone i ask says that they havent seen him.
Tommy
Ive called the dog warden but she has said that the coller is different to the one my dog had on :(
Maggie
