This is the reply I received after Mandy looked at photo of Skippy:

"No it wasn't skippy sorry I think looking at that lurcher it was more very skinny lab looking....I'm rubbish with dogs sorry"

Thats a shame not Skippy. I have done a quick look to see if any other dogs of this description are missing, but maybe Doglost co-ordinators are aware of this missing dog? Sorry it wasn't more positive…..now back to Conker…..:)
Nicola Walters
I have gone back with a link to Skippy's photo asking for an identification. Also, when the person rang me from the hunt kennels to say possible sighting of Conker (which I haven't followed up as I am trying to sort Skippy out!!!) they told me that a PCSO was seen on the 417 Wantage Road trying to catch a dog. I am assuming that this could have been this whippet looking dog? The guy didn't know any details but just knew that a PCSO had been trying to catch a dog. He rang me at 620 re Conker, but his description was definitely a wooly dog so know that it wouldn't have been the same dog the PCSO was chasing. It seems to add up now if there was a loose dog on the 420 at 610. Maybe worth someone calling the Faringdon police station for further information? If I find out any further information I will post on here. Nicola

This has just arrive as message on Conkers FB page I wonder if it could be Skippy. I haven't gone back to the person yet, but it suddenly came to me that could be Skippy. It was just the other side of Faringdon so not a million miles from Lechlade. Funnily enough I also had a call at 620 this evening from a location very close to this (hunt kennels) of a possible sighting of Conker…..:

"Hi do you know of any whippet looking dogs missing? I was on the A420 at 6:10pm this evening & it was running in & out of the traffic! Looked very thin & dirty & was a sandy colour. I'm asking you as I thought you might of heard if there was one missing"

I will go back to the person and put them on alert if we need more details from her.

My friend has confirmed the one she saw wasn't Skippy.

Posted by Patti Westmore on Missing:conker Facebook page for me. Hopefully will provide loads of exposure in Conkers huge army of supporters. All dogs that have been posted on Conkers page have been reunited quickly do lets hope Skippy is no exception:)
Nicola Walters
Sounds very feasible it could be same dog. I think could quite easily be described as brown judging by photo. . Not everyone would know brindle and especially if fleeting glance. I do hope it was Skippy. Have alerted contacts in south cerney just in case. I will post on Conkers missing page but my broadband down at the moment so could be problem via phone but will try my best.
Mollychops
Thanks Sarah and JoGlos, trying to get hold of my friend who spotted the dog in S Cerney, but she did say the dog she saw was brown
Jot cotswolds
Surely this could be 70744 on the found page at south cerney?
