- I spoke to Anne today and still no owner found. This chap was found howling on the banks of the river near Church/Sheepstreet Lane, Etchingham. A search was done in case someone had been involved in an accident but no-one found. Police and DW's informed.
The dog is being cared for while the search goes on for his owner.
I've shared to Etchingham Village, E Sports and Social Club and E Shop and Deli, E Neighbourhood Watch Fbk pages.

- Thank you Clarkey, I have emailed the local dog wardens and registered this with the police also. Poster to go up tomorrow and have shared through local emails & facebook. It has no collar and is not chipped..

Have you reported finding him to the Dog Wardens or had him checked for a microchip? If not, please do so .. the DW's in this area are a 24 hour service.

Please ensure that you notify your local Dog Warden and the local Police Station - in Scotland you MUST inform your local Police Station and if possible contact the Dog Warden also.
The found dog may have a Microchip or a Tattoo - please have the dog scanned and checked for a tattoo at a vet's so that owners may be contacted as soon as possible.
Please check on our Missing pages in case the Found dog has been registered as missing with us.
If possible please add a photo as this greatly assists our work in matching Found dogs with Missing dogs.
