- Had a tweet back this morning from @davidkenn17 'I spotted it next to the burger van and told them, dog shot into the bush to the right of the van behind the locked gate' ....may come back if he,can smell the food....if getting hungry maybe feeding station / scent trail? X
- 2014-07-06 09:00 vicky
- i am gutted i cant be there this morning to help. the breeder was at the burger van for 6.30am this morning. I was thinking this morning though that the lands end site has a very large area of grassland where there are hundreds of rabbits. i think it would be very beneficial if posters were put up all around their site and maybe a good look around the grounds as he could have chased a rabbit down a rabbit hole? He will be getting hungry now and he has in the past caught rats (according to the breeder) so a rabbit would be just as easy for him. come on Po, show yourself!

- Thank you for current update ESSJ. Hopefully now he he us hungry food will keep him in one place

- The burger van DID know he was missing- i handed them (3 women) a poster myself yesterday and the van was full of builders from the local building site!
There are lots of posters everywhere -a lot need updating with the doglost one with the photo on though and i have given more of these to owner tonight. we have been all over again, seen plenty of widlife. Thankfully the railway seems secured by a double fence all the way along but there may be gaps he could get through. There are cctv cameras in the warehouse business next door where he was seen so worth speaking to them and asking security to keep an eye on their cameras, we found dog poo close by here too. We have left some food just in case he returns and the family are planning an early morning camp out with an disposable bbq to tie in to the times preceding the opening of the cafe where they set up as he has been seen twice in this vicinity so assume food is his lure.Last edited: 2014-07-05 22:24:45 by ESSJ - Area Co-ordinator Rutland - 2014-07-05 18:50 Ellie
- Update from Doglost helper Vicky who has been out with a In season dachsie bitch searching with DW, owner and breeder. No news, it seems he is moving about early morning while it is quiet. Unfortunately the burger van didn't know he was missing but will try to entice him if they see him again.
I canno stress the importance of as many posters as possible and I am worried about how close the railway lines are so will notify Network Rail. Last edited: 2014-07-05 18:52:15 by Ellie - 2014-07-05 12:20 Ellie

- All gone quiet- no sign of him now - all sightings to date report him as "running"- have given out posters to building team foreman , walkers,Pillings road Cafe, council workers and lovely people at Rutland Volunteer Group. had a drive round and we are trying to establish a map of sightings using pindrop app - drove round all of the lanes and roads linking sightings and area where he went missing- currently focusing on the area between where he went missing, Barleythorpe, Lands End/Pillings road and the Old and new Catmose College aiming to get more posters out in these areas this afternoon to boost chance of sightings. Rutland Radio is doing a great job of reporting sightings as they come in & i believe is also alerting both owner and Caniner.

- Last night was Po's first time with the owners - he doesnt know the area and is not used to being off lead.He is extremely small, friendly with other dogs but wary of people as in new surroundings. He played happily with owners other dogs whose scent is possibly the only one he would currently recognise.Former owner/breeder came over this morning to help search. Have suggested that if we get any more sightings confirmed that we approach former owner for scenting material to use. Will be out again in the early morning- in the direction following "the Reek" towards Cold Overton - searching and postering.
- 2014-07-03 23:26 Ellie
- Thanks for your update ESSJ who has been out searching with owners
Possible sighting at 10.00 am today in corner of field at the back of Warn Crescent but any searchers to be especially aware to bullocks being in the field - 2014-07-03 22:17 Ellie
- Helper Vicky has been in touch with the breeder from whom Po was rehomed in Leicester and given sound advice. They were aware and been out but it maybe he is trying to make his way back so posters everywhere are important to try to get sightings Last edited: 2014-07-03 22:55:03 by Ellie
