Friends and family have been out helping with me and have took all advice given on board, thank you for all the offers but had plenty of help and been very busy searching, haven't had time to post a lot on here but have kept checking x
chelseaemily92
I haven't received any text message? Just logged on here to say that after all the long days searching around Lincolnshire, Meg has turned up at home! Thank you all so much for the help!

I don't understand that last comment sorry, could you explain? I am a little confused...the owner of this dog hasn't posted or replied to messages offering help for ten days. I have texted them and got no response. Am I being naive here? If my dog was lost I'd beat down then door of someone offering help!

72240 please check sighted only xxxx but check area xxxx

Any news on Meg? Been away for a week so bit out of touch. Any more sightings since last Friday? That is a very kind potential offer of a scent following dog?? I could be free to go out on a long search if Owl can come over this week at all? She could well be fending well for herself in local disused barns etc...
Time to come home now Meg, this adventure has lasted long enough! Please update on the plans for searching...xx

As Owl says - please contact all farms and ask them to check everywhere. Are there any local hunts, ramblers' groups? I've put local school buses to good use before now (before the schools break up)- kids know everything that moves in their area and posties - they get everywhere. I hope this lovely girl is home soon.Last edited: 2014-07-14 21:36:03 by jobadger

This is an area of large fields and small population. Posters need to go to all the farms in the area, also to agricultural contractors and farm supply stores. My dog can follow scents but I am 50 miles away and not available much this week. But I will watch this page, and if we can help we will offer to come over for a day.

Could further E-mail alerts go out to PE11 area thanks.

Do you know anyone who has a working dog? One that could follow scents? Maybe if you could find someone willing to help who has one they could have a good sniff of Meg's basket/blanket and then see if they could pick up a scent outside the farm boundary to follow? xx
chelseaemily92
No news unfortunately. I don't think she would have been stolen because she's very scared of people so I don't think she would go to a stranger, I don't think they'd be able to get hold of her. She's never ran off before but we are usually so careful and just keep her on the farm and she goes for walks in the field which is all fenced off so she can't get out. We haven't had her very long so she wouldn't know the area so I don't think she'd find her way home :( I'm concerned that she has been hurt as no one has seen her
Mrs100
Any news on Meg? I have been out looking down the fen but can't see her anywhere. Is it possible that she was stolen? Has she wandered off before? New to area? Any other ideas that might help find her?
chelseaemily92
Thank you so much! I've been around local kennels and vets today, one had a collie that had been found but it wasn't her x
Mrs100
I put posters up on the notice board in the village book swap phone box (lots of people put stuff there) and have put one on the only dog pooh bin in the village as I figured lots of dog owners would see it there. Have spoke to a few local dog owners and asked them to keep their eyes peeled especially down the fen in case she has crossed the fields. Will go for a wander down there myself when I get home from work and check over the verges in case she is lying injured. Hopefully she's just off on an adventure and will be home soon!
chelseaemily92
Just checked the one in Salford, definitely not her, thanks anyway xx
